Born on September 9, 2002, Ishaan Kaushal is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. With fine performances in the U-14 age groups, he gained recognition in club cricket. At the age of 15, Kaushal made his debut for the 2nd XI in the 2017 edition of the Middlesex County Cricket League.
In the 2021 edition of the 2nd XI competition, the 19-year-old was a part of the Middlesex team, almost in every match.
In five appearances, the young-gun scalped 15 wickets in 5 matches at 22.46, with best figures of 5/71 coming against Somerset 2nd XI. Kaushal earned a rookie contract from the Middlesex County Club with his impressive performances.
However, the pelvic injury ruled Kaushal out of the 2021 edition of the Royal London Cup, which could have been his opportunity to represent the First XI team.
Later in the 2022 edition of the County Championship, the fast bowler was named in the Middlesex squad.
