Player Bio

A 17-year speedster who is known for his brutal bouncers, Gulsan Jha is a professional Nepalese cricketer who recently grabbed headlines for his famous “perfume ball” in the two matches that he has featured in for the Nepal Police Club.

Born and brought up in Sarlahi, Gulsan started playing cricket since his childhood and even went to Ranchi to learn more about the game he loved. In February 2021, he was fast-tracked into Nepal Police’s team for the Mayor’s Cup. On his debut, the pacer failed to pick up any wickets but was economical as he gave just 22 runs in 6 overs.

Gulsan’s breakout moment came in the final when he dismantled Nepal Army’s top-order into pieces. He ended up with 4 wickets and earned heaps of praises from the entire Nepali cricketing fraternity. His ability to generate brutal bouncers convinced the national selectors and he was rewarded with a callup for the Tri-series against Oman and the USA. After making the final cut, he still faces tough competition from the other experienced pacers in Nepal’s limited-overs squad.
