An efficient stumper, Nuzhat Tasnia is a backup wicket-keeper to Sharmin Akhter in the current Bangladeshi women’s squad. Hailing from Gaibanda, Tasnia announced her arrival at the international stages in 2012, making her debut against Ireland women in Dublin on August 24th, 2012.
Lack of consistency at the highest level saw the 24-year old sidelined from the Tigresses squad after just 3 years at the highest level. After seven years out of international cricket, Nuzhat received a surprise callup from the Bangladeshi women’s team for their limited-overs series against Zimbabwe.
Having been awarded yet another chance to cement her place in the national team, Nuzhat would be looking to make the most of any opportunity presented to her.
