Player Bio

Hailing from a small town in Tamil Nadu, Manimaran Siddharth is an upcoming talent who hasn’t failed to impress in any opportunities presented to him.

Siddharth made his Twenty20 debut for Tamil Nadu against Mumbai and scalped four prized wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Siddhesh Lad and Suryakumar Yadav and led Tamil Nadu to a triumphant victory over Mumbai. He followed up with another impressive performance rattling up four wickets for just 18 runs against Jharkhand.

In the four first-class matches for Tamil Nadu, he has fared decently with the ball picking 10 wickets at an average of 24.10 but has a dismal record to show for his batting talent.

After an explosive introduction, he was picked up by the KKR team at the base price of INR 20 lakh for IPL 2020. He was included in the KKR squad for his all-round abilities but in the presence of Varun Chakraborty and Sunil Narine he didn’t get a single opportunity to play.

In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Manimaran turned out to be the star man for Tamil Nadu as they clinched their second-ever title. His 4 wickets in the final grabbed eyeballs from multiple franchises in the IPL yet again.

Ahead of the 2021 IPL, Manimaran was snatched by the Delhi Capitals due to the lack of bowling all-rounders in the squad. Presented an opportunity to learn from the best, Manimaran won’t shy out from rattling the top-order as usual.
