Player Bio

Rajapaksha Vidana Pathiranalage Kamil Mishara, commonly known as Kamil Mishara is a former Sri Lanka U-19 player and an upcoming cricketer for the national team. He is a left-handed top-order batsman and an occasional keeper, who is a by-product of Mahanama College, Panadura.

Emerged through the age-group level, Mishara first donned the Sri Lankan colours at the U-19 level, when he played Bangladesh U19 and Australia U19 in the 2018-19 season. The left-hander was also part of the Sri Lanka U-19 team for the World Cup in 2020, where he played four games to score 114 runs at 28.50.

Although, the youngster is a much better player than his numbers at the World Cup suggest. He made his First-Class for Panadura Sports Club in 2018 and got his maiden T20 cap by Nondescripts Cricket Club during the SLC T20 tournament.

The southpaw made his List-A debut in the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament, playing for the Nondescripts, in 2021. The youngster showcased his prowess in the trophy-winning tournament. He was the second-leading scorer with 437 runs from seven innings at 72.83, including three tons.

Later that season, Mishara was named in the SLC Greys for the 2021 SLC Invitational T20 League tournament, to play with the biggest names currently active in Sri Lanka. If the Islanders foster the youngster well then he is potent enough to take them to the extreme heights again.
