That's it from this game and the series. Do stay tuned for all the other cricketing action across the globe through the course of the week. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentators Nikhil Kalla, and Akshaya Krishna Polya, alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Until next time, stay safe, happy, and cool. Good morning and CHEERS to all!
Tom Latham collects the trophy and now celebrates with his teammates and rightly so. They deserve the series as they came from behind to win 2-1 and go upwards in the WSL points table. Problems of plenty for the Windies as they finish with just 90 points after 24 games.
Tom Latham, Player of the Match and New Zealand Skipper: "Was nice to make a contribution. We could put them under pressure. We had set a target for ourselves at the 40-over mark. We didn't build partnerships in the first two games. There were partnerships throughout today. We certainly knew it was a better wicket. Even when they were 170 for no loss, we knew they weren't away from us. We picked up wickets to pull it back. The partnership up front from them did bother us a bit. But we had the confidence we could chase it down. Was nice to come here and put such a performance on the board. Was nice to get over the line."
Nicolas Pooran, West Indies Skipper: "Tough one, I felt the score was really good and we were in the game. I can not ask the team to do anything more, We did really well it's just that one partnership between Mitchell and Latham that got them over the line. I too tried at the end to bowl and the ball was really wet.
We are a young team so we will make mistakes and learn. New Zealand being the number 1 team in ODI, they were always favorites against us but we learn from every game. We are definitely going to get better.
Mayers played an amazing knock, It will help his confidence massively. Joseph bowled two beamers and you can make out how hard it would have been to grip the ball.
This is a young team and I am absolutely proud of the boys. These guys have been committed 100% and that makes me the happiest. I am sure that they are going to learn from every passing game and series."
Mitchell Santner, Player of the Series: "It's obviously nice, A great game today and a hard-fought series. Glad to win the series. The conditions changed a lot and with the wet ball and dry ball, we have had to adjust to the conditions. A pretty good surface, Boult and Southee bowled well and then I did my bit. Mayers and Hope played well. Glad to win the contest and win the series 2-1."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony with Daren Ganga.
The finisher James Neesham finishes things off in style with the maximum as New Zealand wins this match by 5 wickets with 17 balls to spare to win the series 2-1. It is their first ODI series win in West Indies after 37 years. This has been a professional performance as they have blown away the hosts here.

Chasing a stiff target of 302 for the series win, the Kiwis lost Finn Allen early. But then a combined batting effort from the others set the chase up nicely. Martin Guptill scored 57 and was involved in an 82-run stand with Devon Conway who contributed with 56 to his name. They lost two wickets quickly in the middle. But skipper Tom Latham and Daryl Mitchell stitched in a match-winning stand of 120 runs to take the game away from the Windies. Tom Latham led from the front with 69. But Daryl Mitchell played the game-changing innings of 63 off 49 balls to give the momentum to the chase in overs 31-40 where they scored over 80 runs for the loss of 0 wickets.

Both fell at the end, but the match was as good as over then. In the end, it was Michael Bracewell and the finisher James Neesham who finished things off here. Michael Bracewell remained unbeaten on 14 off 16 balls while the finisher stayed unbeaten on 34 off 11 balls with 4 sixes in it as the chase was completed in 47.1 overs. 11 extras given by the hosts.

The West Indies bowlers struggled with the dew. Jason Holder picked up a couple of wickets for 37 runs in 7 overs. A couple of wickets for Cariah who went for 19 in his final over today. A wicket for Joseph, but the majority of the bowlers went the distance as they struggled with the wet ball.

Earlier in the game, West Indies batting first got off to a blazing start courtesy of their openers, Shai Hope and Kyle Mayers. The duo put on 173 for the first wicket in 34.5 overs before Shai Hope fell for 51 off 100 balls. Kyle Mayers completed a majestic ton as he top-scored with 105 off 110. The Windies lost wickets in clusters through the middle overs.

Nicholas Pooran held the innings together as he scored a blistering 91 off 55 balls which included 4 fours and 9 sixes to his name. While the middle order crumbled with single-digit scores, it was Alzarri Joseph’s 20 off 6 balls that powered the West Indies to 301-8 in 50 overs. 21 extras contributed to the total. The Windies scored 105 runs in the last ten overs.

Trent Boult was the pick of the New Zealand bowlers with 3-53 in 10 overs. He was ably supported by Mitchell Santner who picked up 2 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs. Tim Southee was economical in his 1-47 in 10 overs. Lockie Ferguson went the distance as he gave away 80 runs in 10 overs for a wicket to his name. Michael Bracewell went wicketless in his 6 overs for 43 runs. A wicket for James Neesham as he picked up a wicket for 30 runs in 4 overs.

So, the Kiwis win this by 5 wickets to win the series 2-1 and get 20 points from the WSL table. They have 110 points after 12 games. The Windies finishes with just 90 points. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation that shall come your way soon.
