For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar, alongside our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Until next time, we meet again, stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS! from my end.
Harmanpreet Kaur, India Women Captain and Player of the Match: "Happy with the win. A victory gives you confidence. It was not an easy track to bat on and we batted well and keep wickets in hand. That was good to see. Its part of the game as the other team will do well. It was important to keep calm. I came to bowl as slow bowling was important on this surface. They were having trouble playing the spinners and so I came into the bowl and got the job done. Happy with the win, my performance and we won the series with a game to go. I can't ask anything better than this from my teammates."
Chamari Athapaththu(Sri Lanka Women Captain): "I think we batted really well but last 6 overs we didn't bat well today, We were 15 runs short today. Harman and Smriti batter pretty well.Vishmi is a very talented 16 years old girl she played pretty well. Hope so we will be back with a win in the third game."
Time for the Presentation Ceremony....
17:10 Local Time and IST: So, the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur hits the winning runs as India wins the game by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare to win the T20I series. They take an unassailable 2-0 lead in this 3-match series. They made heavy weather of this chase but were always in control of the chase. For the hosts, not enough runs on the board here.

Chasing a paltry target of 126 for the win, India got off to a roaring start courtesy of Shafali Verma (17 off 10 balls) and Smriti Mandhana who stayed there beyond the 10 overs as she contributed 39 off 34 balls. Meghana contributed with 17 off 10 balls as she got four boundaries in the over in the powerplay. India got to 52-2 after 6 overs and the job was half done despite the best efforts of the Sri Lankan bowlers in the middle phase of the game. Jemimah Rodrigues missed out today with her 3 off 6 balls while Yastika Bhatia contributed 13 off 18 balls. But the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 31 off 32 balls alongside Deepti Sharma who remained unbeaten on 5 off 5 balls as India got to the target in 19.1 overs.

From Sri Lanka's bowling point of view, they tried hard with a low score to defend. Prabodhani went for 22 runs in 2 overs. Ranasinghe bowled 4 overs 2 for 32. Kumari had a good spell with her 4 overs and 1 wicket for 20 runs. Ranaweera was the pick of the bowlers with her 4 overs yielding 18 runs and 2 wickets to her name. Dilhari bowled 3.1 overs no wicket for 17 runs. Skipper Chamari bowled 2 overs for 17 runs as well.

Earlier in the game, it was the Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu who won the toss and elected to bat first. The hosts got off to a great start as the openers stole the show and kept the Indians at bay. They started off well and did not put a foot wrong while the Indian bowlers kept it relatively tight. It was the Chamari-Vishmi Gunaratne show as they put up 87 runs for the first wicket in 13.5 overs before the skipper departed for 43 off 41 balls. Gunaratne top-scored with 45 off 50 balls. They were well-placed at 90-1 after 15 overs and looked good to get to 140 from there which would have been good on this pitch. But the Lankans lost their way as none of the other batters could get into double digits. They went from 106-1 to 120-7 to eventually finish at 125-7. They lost 6-14 to completely lose their way. To see 11 extras as the third-highest scorer speaks volumes of the collapse they had.

From India’s point of view, they came back well with the ball. Renuka Singh bowled 4 overs 1 for 26. Deepti Sharma after going for 30 in 3 overs finished with 2-34 in 4 overs. Simran Bahadur bowled just a couple of overs for 14 runs. Radha Yadav bowled 3 overs 1 for 15. Pooja Vastrakar was introduced very late as she completed her quota of 4 overs giving away 18 runs and picking up a wicket as well. The skipper Harmanpreet Kaur rolled his arm over as well as she bowled 3 overs 1 for 12 runs. A great comeback by the Indian bowlers after they were a bit off as they restricted the Lankans to 125-7 in 20 overs. The batters held their nerves to win the game by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare as they were always in control of the chase thanks to the bowlers.

So, a win by India by 5 wickets to win the series. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way soon.
