That's it from this game and the series. Zimbabwe won on the day while the Aussies will have plenty to think about despite winning the series 2-1 as they face the Kiwi challenge in the 3-match series starting from Tuesday, the 6th of September. We will see Zimbabwe again in the T20 World Cup in October. Stay tuned for more cricketing action across the globe in our network over the weekend.

For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya, and Tugral Azmi alongside scorer/analysts Ashok Dayma, and Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Until next time, goodbye and cheers! Have a Super Dooper Saturday, everyone.
Aaron Finch receives the Trophy for winning the three-match ODI series by a margin of 2-1. And the celebration begins here at Townsville.
Aaron Finch | Australia Captain: "I think we were disappointing today. We didn't take them for granted and today we were disappointed and were not there with the bat. We had half a chance, but they deserved the win. Starc and Hazlewood were great and David Warner played an outstanding inning of 94 but pity that he didn't get any support from the other end. We could have taken the game deep and scored more, but we let Davey down. Happy to get the series win today."
Regis Chakabva | Zimbabwe Captain: "It was a great performance from the boys after the way we played in the first two games. The start we got here with the ball was really great. To restrict Australia to such a low score, shows the talent and ability the squad has. A couple of weeks rest, before we work on the fitness. We will be coming over to the World Cup back in a few weeks time."
Adam Zampa | Player of the Series: "Brilliant to play the Hundred and this so good to play this one. I Felt getting better and even playing so much with lines and lengths and bowling consistently was my main aim and happy to get the player of the series award today."
Ryan Burl | Player of the Match: "It is a big win for us. I couldn't take the game deep, finishing it for the side. But, will take those runs. We will take the confidence from this win and will enjoy this. Will come back here at the year-end for the World Cup. Looking forward to it."
A historic win for Zimbabwe as they manage to hold their nerves to beat Australia by 3 wickets to notch up their first win on Australian soil. Brad Evans hit the winning runs but it was the skipper Regis Chakabva who held their nerves to win the game for his side.

Chasing a paltry target of 142 for the win, Zimbabwe got off to a steady start before making heavy weather of the chase. The openers Kaitano and Marumani put on 38 runs for the first wicket. Kaitano was the first one to go for 19 as Hazlewood brought the Aussies back in the game. The middle-order of Madhevere, Raza, and Williams missed out as Zimbabwe collapsed to 77-5 at one stage. But it was the skipper Regis Chakabva who held up one end to remain unbeaten on 37 off 72 balls. He got notable contributions from Tony Munyonga (17), and Ryan Burl (11) to steer the side home inside 39 overs. Brad Evans came and hit the winning runs in the end.

Josh Hazlewood was the standout bowler for Australia with 3-30 in 10 overs. A wicket apiece for Mitchell Starc, Cameron Green, Marcus Stoinis, and Ashton Agar. The bowlers tried their best, but 141 was a very meagre total to defend on this pitch. 11 extras were given by the Australians as well.

After being put into bat first, Australia lost their skipper early as usual as he went for 5 to Richard Ngarava. David Warner was the only bright spot for the Australians as he scored 94 off 96 with 14 fours and 2 sixes to his name. But the others around him fell like a pack of cards. There was a brief partnership of 57 runs for the sixth wicket between Warner and Glenn Maxwell (19) to take the score from 5-72 to 5-129. But once Maxwell fell to Ryan Burl, Austalia collapsed to lose their last five wickets for 12 runs in no time as they were bundled out for 141in 31 overs.

A field day for Zimbabwe with the ball. Ryan Burl was the star as he had extraordinary figures of 5-10 in 3 overs. A couple of wickets for the ever-impressive Brad Evans. A wicket apiece for left-arm spinner Sean Williams, and the pacers Ngarava and Nyauchi. 9 extras was the third highest score for Australia after Warner’s 94 and Maxwell’s 19. A shoddy batting display from the hosts.

A historic win for Zimbabwe over Australia by 3 wickets. They go down fighting in the series 2-1 to the Aussies. Stick around for the post-match presentation that comes your way soon.

Akshaya: Yes, finally Zimbabwe have reached the target. First win on Australian soil for Zimbabwe. An excellent all-round display from the visitors to avoid a whitewash. A famous one for them but an embarrassing defeat for Australia!!!
38.6 M Starc to B Evans
1 Evans finishes the game off his style with a cover drive. Fuller delivery and a tad outside off. Evans prods forward and blazes it through covers for a single. Zimbabwe won the match by 3 wickets and spared 67 deliveries.
38.5 M Starc to B Evans
0 Fuller delivery, almost a yorker on the blockhole. Evans blocks it out down the pitch right under his eyes.
Scores are level. Zimbabwe are one run away from a famous win.
38.4 M Starc to R Chakabva
1 Shaping away and outside off, Chakabva steers it aerially away from the backward point fielder towards the third man region for a single. Scores are level.
38.3 M Starc to R Chakabva
0 Yorker delivery right on the money, Chakabva digs it out well onto the pads towards the off side.
38.2 M Starc to B Evans
1 Length and sharply curls back into the leg stump line. Evans walks across and clips it nicely towards the deep fine leg region to pick up a single.
38.1 M Starc to R Chakabva
1lb LEG BYES! Angling in onto the leg stump line, Chakabva fails to connect on the flick and wears it on the pads through the deep fine leg region for a run.
