Rahil Shah (Losing team Skipper): Our execution wasn't up to the mark. Vijay is out for personal reasons. We hope he is back for the next game. It will be a do-or-die game for us. We will try to do well.
S Radhakrishnan, Player of the Match: It is easy when you become familiar with bowling. There was some adrenalin rush which ensured there were some mistakes.
VATSAL:22:50 IST: A commanding win here for Cheapauk Super Gillies were put into bat 1st and scored 203 in their allotted 20 overs. Sasidev and Radhakrishnan set up the runs for the CSG Team and got them an above-par score on the wicket while Ajay Krishna and Poiyamozhi picked up 3 a piece for the Warriors. The chase began on a positive note for the Warriors as the openers stitched on a partnership of 87 for the 1st wicket inside 10 overs but both got dismissed in a short span of time and the chase got derailed, A Ganesh hit some lusty blows at the end but the target was way beyond his reach. The Super Gillies bowlers were on target and bowled with a plan to each batter. Harish Kumar in particular got the rewards for his good work as he picked up 3 wickets for 25 in his 4 overs, Alexander supported well with 2 wickets at the end and Sai Kishore got a wicket in his 1st game of the season. Overall a convincing win and ticks off most boxes for them going forward as they are off the mark with their 1st win in the league.
