PLAYER OF THE MATCH IS JEMIMAH RODRIGUES
Smriti Mandhana: We knew the scenario and we knew what we are gonna get, but really proud of the way the batters batted. We had a good chance, but Kiran the way she batted, just took that final dream away from us.
Kiran Navigre: I was really excited to bat as I didn't get to bat in the last game. I was hoping to bat up the order and wanted to play to my strengths. The plan was to score 160 runs as soon as possible, and we would have chased if I had stayed till the end.
Deepti Sharma: Excited to be in the finals. The way we played as a team in both the innings was extraordinary. In the second half, we did well, because the Kiran bat was nothing short of extraordinary. We gave 25-30 runs extra because of fielding and hopefully, we will make a comeback in the next game.
And with this Trailblazers won the match by 16 runs. Team Velocity won the toss and decided to bowl first. Trailblazers come out to bat and lost their skipper earlier in the innings. Smriti Mandhana goes after scoring just 1 run. After that Meghana and Rodrigues played a very crucial knock for their team. Meghana scored a fantastic 73 off just 47 balls and on the other hand, Rodrigues also contributed 66 runs from just 44 deliveries. With the help of both of these magnificent knocks, Velocity set a massive target of 191 runs on the board.
From the Trailblazer's bowling attack Simran Bahadur bowled a brilliant spell by conceding just 31 runs from 3 overs and took 2 wickets. After that Velocity came out to bat and lost 2 wickets earlier on after that Kiran Navgire played a crucial knock of 69 runs off just 34 balls. All other batsmen didn’t look in great touch today. In the end, the tailenders tried really hard to fetch that score but could not do so.
And Velocity are still through to the finals even after losing.
