12:58 AM IST: RCB move to the next round and go up against RR, it will be a humdinger of an encounter. It's the battle of the 'ROYALS"!! That's it from us from tonight, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Shashank Surly alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Hope you enjoyed the live coverage today and do join us for the semi-finals on the 27th of May. Until then it's goodbye and good night!!
Rajat Patidar (Man of the Match): I was focusing on the ball which helped me time the ball well. The last over of the powerplay when Krunal was bowling to me, my execution went fine then and I got confident afterwards. The wicket was pretty good and I played some good shots. I never feel any pressure as I think I have the ability to make up for the dots. I was busy after the 2021 IPL playing for my club. I wasn't picked after the 2021 IPL but that wasn't in my control.

Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bangalore Winning Captain): "Yes, today was a special day. The guys have put in an amazing performance. How good that knock was from Rajat? I mean to play an innings like that under so much pressure was amazing. He has got a great future ahead of him I feel. I felt it was a great performance as we held our nerves. What a special innings that were he never allowed us to get under pressure. Fabulous stuff there. We will celebrate his performance. I felt we were high after the MI-DC game. It was important to come down and keep calm and we kept calm today. Harshal is like a joker in the pack and he bowled very well. It's the time he bowls is amazing and he wants to take those important overs which is such a great luxury to have as a captain. I think he is a key bowler for us. For us, it's fly and plays. That's it. Celebrate, fly and then play."
Time for the post-match presentation.
Rajat Patidar has been awarded the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 112 off 54 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes.
Harshal Patel:  "The hand is fine. It's healed superficially, a little bit of an issue inside every time I bowl and so as long as I can bowl 24 balls I will be happy. There were lots of thoughts because we are going to play in Mumbai. I thought of mixing the hard lengths and fuller lengths and my hard lengths have gone for just 7 runs an over. My plan was to bowl too wide of Stoinis. It didn't come off. It worked against Liam against Punjab, but it wasn't working today. So, I went back to the basics and focussed on what worked for me in the first two overs. I mean it's exciting to be in Qualifier2. The way we got in here after MI beat DC was incredible and that galvanized us and now we are on a dangerous side we know that. So, we look forward to Friday and putting in another performance against Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad."
KL Rahul (Losing Captain): "It's quite obvious why we haven't won this game with our disappointing effort on the field, credit to Rajat's brilliant knock, such knocks can take away the game from any opposition. We have taken a lot of positives from this season, a new team with a great spirit and all our youngsters have stood up well, they will develop more and come back stronger next year. Mohsin Khan has been a revel for us and he will go back and will develop his pace and skills even more and will be a lethal weapon for us next season."
12:20 PM IST | Ovaise: Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the match by 14 runs and make their way into the next round to face Rajasthan. We had a 40 minute delayed start as the entire ground was covered, there was a light drizzle in the air and once it stopped the groundsmen did a fabulous job and we were ready for the toss in this mouth-watering encounter. KL Rahul won the toss and opted to chase keeping the dew in mind and also a late start, it proved to be very fruitful as Mohsin Khan struck gold in the first over of the innings as he got the RCB’s skipper out for a golden duck. Virat Kohli started of very edgy but soon started timing the ball brilliantly before uppercutting a short delivery straight into the hands of the wideish third man fielder. Patidar decided to take on Krunal Pandya in the last over of the powerplay and this was the start of one of the best knocks one will see under pressure in a big game!! Maxwell's struggle was ended by Krunal Pandya in the eleventh over and RCB looked in a sop of bother. Rajat Patidar hammered the ballers all around the park, got to a fantastic century and was ably helped by Dinesh Karthik who was carrying the confidence from getting selected in the Indian cricket team. The pair scored 84 of the last 5 over and helped RCB get a huge total of 207!!

LSG got off to a horrible start losing their in-form opener to a brilliant ball from Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul and Manan Vohra steadied the ship and pushed the accelerator and LSG finished the powerplay with 61 but lost Vohra in the process to up the ante. Deepak Hooda joined the skipper in the middle and together they stitched an excellent partnership and got LSG on track for the chase!! Spin was introduced into the attack from both end and the run-scoring came down dramatically. DK was very poor behind the stumps, the match would have not gone this close had he taken the stumping of KL Rahul. The boundaries had dried up and the asking rate went up sky rocking. Pace came back into the attack and the pair lifted run rate again, this game swung both ways but RCB held their nerves in the end, Harshal Patel bowled a magnificent spell, changed his pace very well and made life very tough for the batters in the middle. Josh Hazlewood bowled a terrific penultimate over and got the big wicket of KL Rahul and followed by Krunal on the very next ball. Harshal Patel gave only 9 runs in the last over and LSG fell short of 14 runs.
