That's it from this enthralling qualifier-1. We have the first finalists of this edition's IPL. Gujarat Titans sit there and will wait for three days for their second finalists. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ovaise Shariff and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav who brought you all the live actions from this fascinating fixture. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers..!!
David Miller | Player of the Match: "It it's in the Vee (V), then it's in the tree. If it's in the arc, then it is out of the park (haha). It was a great feeling to win the game. It was about making sure finish the game for your team. See, it is IPL. You will be playing for different teams around. There will be new teams here and there. I think you need to control what you can. You need to be strong in the mind. It was about keeping a calm head and trying to control what's there in your hand. If it is there to be hit, then it should be hit. see, there was balls in the slot. And if you want to strike it well, then you should not keep yourselves in doubt. With a strong mind and a calm head you need access the situations. There has been a lot of going wide to me on the off-side, so I decided actually for the first time to step across. Backed myself and went with it. The rest I tried to hit as hard as possible. A few days off now before the final. We will have a bus trip I guess. We will surely enjoy the moment with some drinks."
Hardik Pandya | Gujarat Titans Captain: "No, I think. I think I am trying to balance my life. Overall, trying hard to balance my life correctly. My cricketing life has been a challenging one. My body injury also troubling me in the past. I need to create a  good balance between all these and bio-bubbles as well. I get good support from my wife, child and my brother as well. They have been all the way behind me. My family always supported me. And now this is dedicated to them. All the boys came here have performed well for us. Rashid Khan, I mean all know he is a champion and performed to that level tonight. I am more so happy for Davey (Miller). He has played exceedingly well. Tonight he was just something else. I said to him let's go hard at them. Even though we lose, it is not a big thing as we have another chance. Wherever my team requires me to play, I don't generally demand where I want to bat. That's not how I've got success. I've got success by playing for the team, no matter how scratchy I look, how good I look, irrelevant for me. The batting order we've had to make sure everyone chips in. Yes, it came good tonight. Yes, we do dream of winning it. Always play for the win."
Gujarat Titans are through to the finals and they will play the winners of Qualifier-2 on Sunday (MAY 29). Rajasthan Royals will now play the winners of the Eliminator in the Qualifier-2 on Friday (MAY 27). Eliminator will be played tomorrow between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
David Miller is the Player of the Match.
Shubman Gill: "Yes, it is always good to be back here (Eden Gardens). It is a very good pitch to bat on. I have done well tonight till I was at the crease. It is always good to bat on here and I love this ground. Wriddhi bhai got out very early. I thought it was a big wicket in the game. See, the pitch was sticking up a bit and there was grip and turn for the spinners. There was a lot off help for the slower deliveries. Yes, it was a treat for the eyes when Miller and Hardik were striking them. It was close but Miller did the finishing job very well. There hasn’t been any added pressure on me, I was picked because I have done well for my earlier franchises, I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, I just had to contribute to my team and play well for them. It was nice to watch a semi-final and your team-mates are doing the job, it was amazing. Yeah, happy to be in the final. Very excited to play in Ahmedabad. Looking forward for the big day."

11:35 PM IST: Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal walked out to open the batting for Rajasthan Royals, The pitch looked slightly tacky in the initial overs, was gripping and the ball also moved both ways and troubled the batters in the middle. Mohammad Shami and Yash Dayal opened the bowling for the Gujarat Titans and the latter picked up the first wicket, that of Yashasvi Jaiswal who edged one to an outswinger. Skipper Sanju Samson came out to bat with some positive intent and counterattacked straight away. Rajasthan Royals had a brilliant powerplay, scoring 55 runs. Jos was a little tentative to start with but Sanju Samson on the other end made up for it. Rashid Khan was brought into the attack after the Powerplay and immediately got some assistance from the pitch, Sai Kishore was introduced from the other end and managed to dismiss Sanu Samson on 47 (26). DevDutt Padikkal joined Jos Buttler in the middle and the pair took Rajasthan past the 100 run mark. This pitch was a very tricky one, Samson played a magnificent knock on along with Jos Buttler who was very severe on the bowling and in no time Buttler notched up 89 runs, contrasting second half as he was on 37 of 38 deliveries and then in the next 18 deliveries he managed to hit a whopping 60 runs. Rajasthan Royals ended their innings with 188 runs on the board.

Gujarat Titans got off to a terrible start, losing Saha on the second delivery, a magnificent start and they maximised the powerplay smashing 64 of their first 6. Gill was looking solid and was ably helped by Wade on the other end, Disaster struck GT when Shubman Gill was involved in a mix-up and got run out!! Skipper walked into bat and stitched up a brilliant partnership with Wade, They were on track but Wade got dismissed which put Gujarat in a spot of bother. Killer Miller joined Hardik in the middle and the pair managed to up the ante and took GT very close to a win, but an Excellent 18
th over by Chahal got them back into the game followed by another fantastic penultimate over. 16 were needed of the last over with Miller on strike!! He went BANG BANG BANG and finished it with three sixers in a row!! What a fantastic way to finish the match. Gujarat Titans are a special team, they deserve to be in FINALS!!

Sanju Samson | Rajasthan Royals Captain: "We did put a good score on the board. But couldn't bowl well enough to defend this. The wicket was a bit of sticky. It was slowing up a bit. We batted extremely well. Our batters did well to put the score what we have put on the board. Excellent effort from our batters. We are having a good bowling line-up with five bowlers and Riyan Parag being the sixth bowling option. As I said it was quite sticky when we batted and in the second innings it came on to bat very nicely. Yes, it was eased in the second innings and they too batted really well. Just that we need to be stronger and comeback with a positive note. We have been playing some really good cricket throughout the tournament, couple of overs here and there, couple of extra runs, couple of off-rhythm by couple of our bowlers, we will try to come back and play some good cricket. In this format toss plays a huge role, so it all comes down to what you want to do in your control. Hoping for a good result in the next game."
Ovaise: BANG! BANG! BANG!!! He has finished it with 3 balls to spare.
19.3 P Krishna to D Miller
6 SIXXXX!!!! THREE SIXES IN A ROW TO KILL THE CONTEST! MILLER SEALS IT HERE FOR GUJARAT TITANS!! OH MY WORD!! Another one in the slot and Miller sends it way over the ropes. Around the wicket, slower delivery in the slot and on the middle and leg stump line. Miller on the front foot slogs it away with a flick shot and it sails high and handsome well over the deep mid wicket boundary for a match winning biggie. Gujarat Titans are through to the finals with a 7-wicket win here!
KILLER MILLER!!! WHOAAAAA..BANG BANG!!!
19.2 P Krishna to D Miller
6 SIXXX!!! This is sublime hitting from Miller!! Just 4 needed now. Run-a-ball required here. Another length delivery and Miller goes big again. It is on the off stump line. Miller on the front foot clears his front leg and picks it up as he pulls it well over the deep square leg boundary for a match deciding six!! What a way to bring up the 100 run stand between these two.
19.1 P Krishna to D Miller
6 SIXXX!!!! Prasidh Krishna will bowl the last over and Miller goes big here. Fuller length delivery and in the slot outside the off. Miller premeditates the line and he is already shuffling across his off peg. Takes care of this slot delivery. Miller on the front foot swings through the line and with an almighty heave clears the wide long on boundary for a huge six. 96m it goes!! Now only ten needed off the last five deliveries here!!
Akshaya: 16 needed off the last over! Prasidh Krishna to bowl it. What a game it has been so far? Super over anyone!!
