That's it from this gap which was expectedly won by Australia. Two more games to go in the Tri-Series over the weekend. Do join us for those games and for other cricketing action happening across the globe in our network. This is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Shashank Surly, alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Here's bidding you Goodnight and CHEERS from the commentary box.
Meg Lanning (Winning Captain): "Nice to get out there to bat there and put runs on the board and defend it in the end. We wanted to push towards 200 but we lost wickets and we overhit the balls. A lot to learn for us, but happy with 180+. I think we did well to take wickets at regular intervals and did well to restrict them to less than 120. There are improvements to be made in bowling and hope we do that. Pakistan is on the good side. They are skilled players hitting in different parts of the ground and so good opportunity in going out there and have fun and sign off on a high. Great representing Australia as always. We have thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn in Northern Ireland and hope we can end with a win on Saturday against a strong Pakistan side."
Tahlia McGrath (Player of the Match): "Happy with my performance and to get a good partnership with Meg Lanning and take us to a good score. We started the partnership with good intent and we settled in and that built our confidence. I tried to gamble a bit with my innovative shots and am happy that it came up, we try to stay in good shape and maintain our fitness in the games coming up, we are looking forward to play against Pakistan as it is the last game before the Commonwealth Games."
Laura Delany (Losing Captain): "Its disappointing to lose, but Australia are a tough side to play against, I am really proud with my girls and we have lot to learn from a strong side like Australia, but we are looking and growing by playing with these sides. We struggled to take wickets in the middle phase and we just tried to keep them under a good total, but they were just too good in the end. we need to have variations in our bowling, it is important playing against these top sides. We have a lot of potential in our batting, but we want to build bigger partnerships and pick the gaps better like Australia did. We did well against Pakistan, we want to improve on our fielding and want to do well in our last game."
23: 35 IST: A comprehensive performance from Meg Lanning and Australia as they have swept aside hosts Ireland by 63 runs to stay unbeaten in the Tri-series. Ireland were never in the chase and were behind the eight ball by a long way as they finish with 119-7 in 20 overs.

Chasing a daunting target of 183 for an improbable win, Ireland lost their openers Rebecca Stockell, and Gabby Lewis early with 1 and 7 respectively. Orla Prendergast scored an enterprising 25 off 22 balls while skipper Laura Delany contributed with 21 off 31 balls. Rachel Delaney could contribute only 3 runs off 6 balls. Mary Waldron contributed with 15 off 18 balls, while Ariene Kelly and Leah Paul contributed 12 runs apiece. Dempsey remained unbeaten on 3. 20 extras contributed to the total as well as Australia was sloppy giving away loads of extras.

From Australia's bowling point of view, Megan Schutt bowled 3 overs 2 for 16. Darcie Brown had a good spell with her 4 overs accounting for 18 runs and a wicket to her name. Jess Jonassen had a good spell with her 4 overs going for 27 runs and a couple of wickets. Alana King bowled 3 good overs and gave away only 11 runs and picked up 2 wickets as well. Annabel Sutherland looked rusty in her 3 overs for 26 runs. Ashleigh Gardner bowled three economical overs for 18 runs.

Earlier in the game, it was the Irish skipper Laura Delany who won the toss and opted to field first. Australia lost both their openers Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney early in the piece as both fell inside the powerplay. Healy scored 1 while Mooney could muster only 9 runs. But it was the skipper Meg Lanning's show alongside Tahlia McGrath as that partnership for the third wicket took the game away from Ireland. Lanning top scored with 74 off 49 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes to his name while Tahlia McGrath scored 70 off 45 balls with 11 fours to his name. Their partnership of 135 put Australia in a dominant fashion. Rachel Haynes was unbeaten on 11 off 5 balls while Ashleigh Gardner was unbeaten on 5 off 3 balls alongside 12 extras that contributed to the total.

From Irelandโ€™s bowling point of view, a couple of wickets for Georgina Demspey for 35 runs in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Rachel Delaney and Ariene Kelly. Leah Paul bowled 3 overs for 20 and the skipper Laura Delany bowled 2 economical overs for 14 runs here.  Cara Murray went for 25 in her 2 overs. Ava Canning at the top was good with her 3 overs for 18 runs. Few positives for Ireland, but it is the Australians who walk away with all the honors here.

So, Australia Women win by 63 runs. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way now.

Shashank: Good gestures this from the Ireland crowd which has turned out here today. They are standing up and applauding for their side, who have put on a courageous performance against the World Champions Australia.
