The ODI series has come to an end, we now move on to the test series! That's it from us from, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Yogesh. Hope you enjoyed the coverage, join us for all the live action from other games all around the globe. Goodbye and Goodnight.
Dasun Shanaka | Sri Lanka Captain: It is disappointing, but we need to keep pushing the boundaries, glad with the way the guys performed in the series. We took the momentum from the last T20 game, which set the tone.  I think we could have won the first ODI as well. Our batters kept performing and our bowlers also delivered. Everyone took the responsibility, good to see Mendis back in form. Also the other players, it's a team effort. We need to keep playing like this. The crowd has been amazing, it has been a full house, they were always behind us. They kept believing in us and we need to deliver more in the future. Would like to thank the cricket boards and the ground staff as well.
Aaron Finch | Australia Captain:  Yeah I thought the series was well fought, Sri Lanka played some good cricket and they deserved to win the series. The conditions were tough but we as International players have to adapt to the pitch. This win will give us confidence in moving on to the test series.
Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Series.
Chamika Karunaratne | Player of the Match: "I’m so happy because I was not batting well in the series but I was believing in myself and I backed myself today. When I was batting with Pramod, we decided to keep batting till 40th over. We just wanted to bat and get over 150. When I was batting with Maheesh, I decided to take on the bowling. I would love to thank everyone present on the ground and also to the Australian side to come to our country in these hard times."

Chamika Karunaratne is the Player of the Match for his fighting knock in the first innings.

9:15 PM IST: Ovaise: Australia have won by 4 wickets and it was quite comfortable towards the end. Sri Lanka have won the 5-match series 3-2!!

Let’s have a recap, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first on a dry-looking surface. They got off to a disastrous start, Josh Hazlewood removed both the openers cheaply and Kusal Mendis walked into bat and looks quite busy. Dinesh Chandimal failed to grab the opportunity in his comeback game as he departed and the hosts were 35/3 at the end of 10 overs.

Charith Asalanka the man of the match from the previous game walked in and along with Kusal Mendis steadied the ship and stitched up a good partnership before disaster struck and Asalanka was run out. Mendis was hit wicket on the very next ball. Dunith Wellalage walked in and smashes his first ball for a boundary through covers and got out the very next ball trying to hit one over the mid-on fielder. Shanaka too was knocked over in the same over and Sri Lanka were in deep deep trouble.

The hosts were 85-8 in the 24th over and looked like they were going to get bundled out for under the 100-run mark, Chamika Karunaratne along with debutant Pramod Madushan built a solid partnership for the ninth wicket. Karunaratne kept playing his strokes and the debutant supported him nicely from the other end. They both put 58 between them before Madushan was dismissed on 15. Karunaratne hit some lusty blows in the end but his departure on 75 meant that they finished their innings on 160.

Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Matthew Kuhnemann picked up two wickets each for Australia and at the halfway mark Australia would have fancied a quick run chase. Warner and Finch walked out to bat and Theekshana dismissed Finch in the second over and soon Warner and Inglis followed too. Australia were 19 for 3 in the 5th over. Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey steadied the ship, were very watchful at the beginning but once they got their eye in it was very simple for them to rotate strike and chip away with runs,.

Marnus Labuschage's gritty knock came to an end n the 28th over and was dismissed by the youngster Dunith Wellalage, Australia were 5 down with 101 on the board. Maxwell fall too and there was a bit of pressure but Green and Carey made sure they don't lose any more wickets and took them over the line in the 40th over. Australia won the match with 4 wickets still in hand and now we move on to the test series.
39.3 J Vandersay to C Green
6 SIXXX!!! Cameron Green finishes things in style. Tossed up delivery around off, Grene gets down on one knee and whacks it straight back over the bowler's head for a maximum. With this, Australia win the final game of the series by four wickets.
39.2 J Vandersay to C Green
0 A low full toss on the pads, Green flicks it straight to mid wicket.
39.1 J Vandersay to A Carey
1 Flighted delivery on the stumps, Carey sweeps it behind square in the leg side for a run.

38.6 M Theekshana to C Green
0 Green steps out of the crease and defends the flighted delivery straight back to the bowler. Just one coming off Theekshana's last over as he finishes with figures of 2/28.
38.5 M Theekshana to C Green
0 How did that miss the stumps? Flatter delivery a shade outside off and keeps a bit low as Green is beaten on the defence and it misses the off-stump by a whisker.
38.4 M Theekshana to C Green
0 Fuller delivery on the stumps, Carey drives it straight and Theekshana flies to his right to stop it.
38.3 M Theekshana to A Carey
1 Another reverse sweep and a misfield from the backward point fielder allows Carey to get off strike.
38.2 M Theekshana to A Carey
0 Flighted delivery on middle, Carey reverse sweeps it to backward point. He wanted a quick run but is sent back in time by Green.
38.1 M Theekshana to A Carey
0 Flighted off-break outside off, Carey is beaten on the drive and Mendis behind the stumps is quick to dislodge the bails. A loud appeal and the decision is sent upstairs. Carey did lift his back leg but maybe he grounded it in time. There is a flatline on the UltraEdge and now onto stumping. Carey has grounded his foot when the bails are dislodged. So NOT OUT it stays.

4 FOUR!!!! Wellalage bowls it quicker outside off, Green throws his hands at it as he slices it through point for a boundary. The sweeper runs to his left and dives but fails to keep it inside the ropes.
