This is it from the live coverage of the Bronze Medal Game, as we conclude this game with New Zealand Women winning it by 8 Wickets. That’s it for today from myself Nikhil Kalla alongside my co-commentators Tugral with our scorer/analyst Raju. See you soon again with Gold Medal games to follow till then stay safe.

NIKHIL: So, we are done here with New Zealand Women winning the Bronze Medal as they defeat England Women by 8 wickets, as they chase down the target of 110 with ease.

England Women's side started their innings in a watchful manner as they managed to score just 41 losing 2 wickets in the first powerplay.

Wyatt, Capsey, and Dunkley got out cheaply as they all struggled to find the middle of their bat and score freely. Sciver was the one who took the chargeback on New Zealand Women early on as she walked out to bat but she also perished on 26. Jones and Ecclestone built up a good partnership towards the end as they managed to put up 37 runs for the 7th wicket.

For the New Zealand team, Jensen took 3 wickets well helped by Devine and Janas who scalped a couple each. Rowe and Kerr also got a wicket each today.

In reply to the target set by the England Women's side, New Zealand Women started in the best possible way as they scored 45 runs in the powerplay

Devine and bates started off in a sensational manner as they scored 54 runs for the first wicket partnership as Bates fell trying to pull one towards short fine leg. Plimmer walked in and perished on a score of 4. Kerr then joined Skipper in the middle and they scored XY runs together to see New Zealand walk past the total in front of them.

For the England Women's side, Sciver got rid of Bates and Kemp took the wicket of Plimmer. Apart from them, no bowler stood up to take the responsibility of making a meal out of this low score. They gave away too many extras today.
