That is all we have from the commentary box. Till the next time, it's ta-ta and good-night from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya and Karthik Raj along with our scorer/statistician Paras Yadav.
Harpreet Brar: "When we came here, we thought it was a good pitch for the spinners. I have conceded runs and so have the other spinners, so I wanted to finish on a good note today. My aim is always to bowl well in my decided areas and perform under pressure. My focus is on my skills. (Markram's wicket) That ball had turn and bounce. I was seeing that he was playing on the back foot and wanted to draw him forward. So i felt happy to pick up such a wicket. I am happy for Arshdeep, he has got an opportunity to represent a country because that's what a player seeks out to do. I will look to work on my skills in the upcoming season and I firstly look forward to spending time with my family, having not seen them for four months."
Mayank Agarwal | Punjab Kings Captain: "Yes, the rib is quite sour now. It has brutal you know. But I am recovering quite well now. Yes, I had a word at him. I asked him whether he had wore the protective gear or not. We have been doing well in the season. We didn't win games in clusters. Like we were unable to put together wins in groups. There were lots off positives this season. The way Dhawan played and Livingstone played is something to look forward too. The way Bairstow batted after got promotion in the top of the order. If we can play the same brand of cricket as we played tonight, then I am sure that in the next season we can perform way better. We need to sit together now and discuss what went wrong in this IPL. We were here for the two points and now we have achieved to get that."

Arya- It wasn’t the most challenging targets to chase when it began, but SRH would have been in the game, had they got some early wickets. However Jonny Bairstow had other ideas as he started off with some amazing shots to get things under way. He wanted to finish on a high and hence took the chances early on. Shikhar Dhawan took a  bit of time to get underway but Bairstow made sure, Punjab raced off to 29 in less than 3 overs before getting castled by a great delivery from Farooqi. Dhawan then came into the attack smashing back to back sixes of Jagadeesh Suchith.

While Dhawan went on well at the other end, Shahrukh Khan was sent up the order at No 3. He was playing a match after quite a while and smashed a few lusty blows to begin with. However, he couldn’t quite carry on the good work and was dismissed by Umran Malik in his first over but that wasn’t enough to stop Punjab from motoring along to the target. Mayank Agarwal's woeful return continued as he was dismissed for a solitary run but from there on it was a great knock from Livingstone which never really allowed SRH to keep a hold in the match.

Livingstone missed a few but still managed to utilise his match-ups to perfection. He was literally toying with the bowlers on song and went onto smash 49 of just 22 deliveries which included 2 fours and 5 sixes. Jitesh Sharma also started off well and raced off to 19 in no time which never allowed SRH to have any chance whatsoever. In the end it was a cakewalk for Punjab as they reached the target with 29 deliveries to spare.

Earlier in the day it was SRH who struggled their way to 150 courtesy some good knocks from Abhishek Sharma and Romario Shepherd towards the fag end of the innings. After losing Priyam Garg early on, SRH batted sensibly as Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi shared a good partnership. Aiden Markram also started off well but it was Harpreet Brar who bowled an exceptional spell in the middle overs and bagged three important wickets.

Despite some impressive bowling in the middle overs, it was Romario Shepherd and Washington Sundar who provided the much-needed impetus towards the later stages to them close to the 160 mark. Shepherd remained unbeaten on 26 of 15 deliveries while Sundar scored 25.

Liam Livingstone: "I have been hitting the ball well throughout the tournament. Got out to a few stupid shots early on. I am a big believer in match-ups. Knew that my two match-ups today were Umran and Sundar. Tried to play the two left-armers with a bit of respect. Tried to hit the left-arm spinner over cover and that is something I have never done in my life. We needed run-a-ball and didn't need to go all guns blazing. It is always nice to prove a few people wrong. There were a few comments after the last season. I go back to England now and use what I have learnt in this tournament! I love bowling. It's not the easiest thing, doesn't come naturally. Would have loved to bowl a bit more but got a chance later in the season"
Bhuvneshwar Kumar | Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: "Good feeling ofcourse (on captaincy). But we didn't play well to be honest. Look we were short by some runs. Around 15-20 runs short. They restricted us in the middle overs with regular wickets. If not for the dropped catches we would have been able to drag this game closer. Yeah, at this level this was poor in the fielding. We need work more and more in the field and practice the catches better. We will comeback stronger next time. We have quite a few positives this season. Umran is one among them. He bowled extremely well and now he has to be taken care off. And another one is Abhishek Sharma. He impressed one and everyone. See, we Sunrisers always had problems in the middle order in the past seasons. This season we had it covered with Markram and Pooran. They performed well. We will have a discussion about our progress this season and will rectify what has gone wrong for us. We will surely comeback stronger in the next season."
Arya- A comfortable victory in the end for the Punjab Kings as they romp past Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets and with 29 deliveries to spare. After missing a few, Liam Livingstone was all over the SRH bowling attack and ended up smashing an unbeaten 49 of just 22 deliveries to take their side through to the finishing line. Despite taking some early wickets, the required rate never threatened the Punjab Kings and in the end, it was quite a comprehensive victory for Punjab in the last match of the league stage.
Akshaya: PBKS win by 5 wickets! Livingstone has been denied a fifty here by his partner as he hits the winning runs. But Prerak Mankad is off the mark in this lucrative T20 League!!
15.1 U Malik to P Mankad
4 Done and dusted. Fuller-length delivery a tad outside off, Mankad slices this away over covers and finds the boundary. This has been a thoroughly professional run chase and they have made it look ridiculously easy in the end. Wins by 5 wickets and with 29 deliveries in hand.
Akshaya: Just two needed now. SRH were really poor on the field tonight. This is just not done. At this level it is unforgivable.
14.6 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
6 This is what Livingstone does when you pitch it in his arc. A fuller-length delivery outside off. Livingstone hits that up and over at a rate of knots. Connects it to perfection as it goes sailing over the long-off fence. He has made light work of the target here.
14.5 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
4 The fielding has been questionable from the Sunrisers Hyderabad. It has been nothing short of a horror show. Down the leg side on a length and Livingstone just flicks it away down deep backward square leg, Umran Malik misses that and off to the boundary ropes.
Akshaya: 1000th IPL SIXXX!!! And it deserved something like this one. 97m!! It goes only 97m, come on man!! Livingstone carved this very high and way over towards deep extra covers stands.
14.4 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
6 That has been thumped away over the long-off fence for a maximum. He had a few hits and misses but connects this time. Back of a length delivery outside off, hint of room. Livingstone clears his front leg and smashes that up and over. Got everything on that and gets it flying over deep extra cover.
14.3 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
2 Livingstone slices away the fuller-length delivery a tad outside off down the deep cover region and has enough time to return for a brace.
14.2 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
0 Slower delivery on a length outside off, Livingstone is a bit late into the shot, doesn't make any contact.
Karthik: This has been a forgettable fielding performance from SRH. Fazalhaq Farooqi was impressive with the ball but he does have a lot to work on in terms of fielding
14.1 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
4 Farooqi has made an absolute meal of it. He was million miles away from where the ball was. This is just not done. Shepherd bowls a slot delivery a tad outside off. Livingstone swings across the line with all his might. Ends up getting a top edge which falls close of the short third man fielder but he has no idea where the ball was and it trickles off to the boundary ropes.
14.1 R Shepherd to L Livingstone
WD Shepherd starts off with a wide. Well outside the tramline and he has to reload that.
