Milestone
That brings us to the end of our coverage. Till the next time it's ta-ta and good-night from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Saurabh Saket along with our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav.
Trent Boult, Man of the Match- Some days are better than others. Nice to get wickets at the top. I have got a simple game with the ball. Good catch from Neesham. The boys did talk about some intensity as this was a crucial game for us. I am suprised that I am talking about my batting in a Press conference. We can bring our right attitude and chase a ball. I think this is a tough place to bowl. I am enjoying here at a new franchise. A great opportunity.
Sanju Samson, RR skipper- We have been taking some good decisions. It is very hard to maintain a chilled out atmosphere. Credit to the boys. You keep on losing here and there. We want to go out there and express ourselves as a batting unit. We have a quality bowling line up to defend. Last game also, Ashwin did well. Sometimes you take decisions and look bad when you lose. We can control the intensity. Neesham brought some amazing energy on to the field. There is some bonus point for having some quality spinners. We can use them any time. I know a lot of Tamil. I have friends and I watch a lot of Tamil movies. Each and everyone went out there and showed some intent despite playing a batter short. You can't really think much in this format, you just go out and express.
Yuzvendra Chahal- We needed that win. For us to finish in the top-two, we had to win this match. I was a little bit disappointed with myself but I'll definitely come back in the next game. When Hooda was batting so well, leg-side was shorter, I didn't want to take any risk. I tried to bowl a couple of flighted balls, he tried to hit sixes, so I didn't want to give any extra runs. That's why I tried to bowl a little bit quicker tonight. (On his performance this season) When you contribute to the team, you're always happy with that. Everyone is doing well, it's not like not only two people are performing. In every match you can see 2-3 match-winners. (On Wanindu Hasaranga) Whatever he's doing, I am happy for him because he's like a brother to me. If he takes wickets, if Kuldeep takes wickets, I am happy with that.
KL Rahul (Losing captain): "It was a gettable target, it was a good pitch, we think we failed to execute our plans our batting failed to collectively perform as a group and I think we will have to do well in the coming games, Pune was a lot harder than the current pitch. Prasidh was doing really well with the hard length, we had a lot of troubles with them bowling the correct line, we will have to do a lot better in the coming games. I don't think we will do anything different, it's just going out there and executing your plans and give ourselves the chance and play out the 120 bowls and play out the bowler who's doing well then you can do well. We have that type of batting that can do well and hit those big sixes."

Rajasthan Royals had posted a more than competitive total and LSG needed to get off to a good start to set the platform for the run-chase. 15 runs came off the first two overs as the openers got off to a start but Trent Boult brought RR roaring back into the game with wickets in back to back deliveries. While Quinton de Kock was holed out at cover-point, Ayush Badoni was trapped right in front by an incoming delivery from Trent Boult. He did take the review but it would have crashed onto the middle-stump.

LSG needed some semblance in the middle and out came the man in form Deepak Hooda who again looked in good touch and scored a beautiful half-century. KL Rahul was the 3rd man to go as Prasidh Krishna induced a false shot from his blade as LSG was staring down the barrel at 29/3. A partnership was needed for the Super Giants and it was provided by Hooda and Krunal Pandya. Hooda continued his rich vein of form and struck some exceptional shots while Krunal Pandya also got himself going.

A partnership of 65 runs got LSG back into the game but they needed the partnership to carry on. It was Ashwin who bagged the prized wicket of Krunal Pandya. It was an exceptional joint effort at long on by Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag. Deepak Hooda kept them in the game with some audacious strokeplay but the required rate was climbing all the time and he eventually gave his wicket away to Yuvzvendra Chahal.

It was always going to be a mountain too steep to climb from there on. Obed McCoy got two wickets in his 3rd over and despite a few lusty blows from Marcus Stoinis towards the end, it was an easy win for the Rajasthan Royals by 24 runs. Hooda was LSG's top scorer with 59 while Boult, Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy bagged a couple each.
A comprehensive victory for the Rajasthan Royals and they are almost through to the playoffs.

1 Nails in the yorker from around the wicket. Mohsin Khan digs this out down the cover region for a single,.
19.6 P Krishna to M Khan
WD That will be a wide. He has to bowl one more delivery. Slower delivery just outside that blue line.
19.5 P Krishna to M Khan
0 Short of a length quick delivery and Mohsin Khan was completely beaten for pace there as he went for the pull.
19.4 P Krishna to A Khan
1 A slower fuller-length delivery around the off-stump channel. Avesh Khan swings it away down the deep midwicket region for a single.
19.3 P Krishna to A Khan
0 Good from Prasidh Krishna. On a length a tad outside off. Avesh Khan tries to smash this down the ground but doesn't make any contact.

19.2 P Krishna to M Stoinis
W That was an off-paced delivery on the 6th or 7th stump line. You cannot get anywhere close to Stoinis' hitting arc. He swings across the line, the ball gripped on the surface a bit and he ends up getting a top edge which has been safely held by Riyan Parag at deep square. He is such a safe fielder. Again makes the catch look ridiculously easy.
19.1 P Krishna to M Stoinis
6 Stoinis starts off with a maximum. Goes downtown and smokes this for a maximum. 28n required of the last five. A low full toss a tad outside off. That is Stoinis's area and he goes for a mighty blow down the ground. Clears the straight boundary quite comfortably.

4 Mohsin Khan finds the boundary to end the over. Down towards the widish third man for a boundary. Length delivery well outside off. Mohsin Khan throws his hands at that and squirts it away up and over backward point for a boundary.
