9:50 PM IST| That's it from us here from the Home of Cricket, Lord's. It has been a dull Sunday game for the cricketing fans who expected to watch a thrilling finish. We will join you again for the LVE Insurance County Championship games next Thursday again, as Middlesex will be hosting a strong Durham side led by the new England test skipper, Ben Stokes and Nottinghamshire will host a highflying Derbyshire at the Bridge. This is Shashank Surly taking your leave along with my fellow commentator Tugral Azmi with our scorer Raju Khariya. Goodnight and Goodbye.
9:38 PM IST| Shashank: The weather has played the spoilt sport here at Lord's and the game has ended in an inevitable Draw. Nottinghamshire had the chance to take a win and all the points but they miscalculated the conditions and have to settle for a frustrating draw.

Nottinghamshire were put into bat by Middlesex on Day 1, Haseeb Hameed's fine century along with a fabulous 92 from the skipper Steven Mullaney  and a 50 from the no.11 Luke Fletcher helped the visitors post a mammoth 415 in their first outing against a Shaheen Shah Afridi less Middlesex bowling attack, Toby Roland-Jones was the star for the hosts with figures of 4/64.

Middlesex got skittled out for 195 in their reply as they were dismantled by the brilliance of Stuart Board and James Pattinson who took 7 wickets between them. Peter Handscomb was the only batsman that showed some real resistance as he made 48 off 89.

The Visitors didn't enforce the follow-on as they had a huge lead of 220 runs. Though they batted only 60 overs they declared the innings at 295-5. The real star of the show was their skipper Steven Mullaney again as he smashed a 58 ball 100 along with fifties from Luke Fletcher and Joe Clarke.

Middlesex were asked to survive for 133 overs chasing 516. With rain on the cards for the fourth day, Middlesex suffered early blows in their innings as they lost Mark Stoneman and Josh de Caires without scoring just inside the third over itself. Peter Handscomb fell for just 7 and were 3 down for 32. Sam Robson was playing on his own as he raced to a magnificent century in the first session today and made almost 75% of the teams runs and was ably supported by Max Holden with his vigil of 18 from 115 and both added a century stand for the fourth wicket just before rain decided to help the hosts as it poured for almost the whole day and the match got abandoned and both teams settled for an inevitable draw.
9:25 PM IST| Not a great news exactly, the groundsman are finally getting the covers off from the sides as the rain has stopped pouring. But the outfield won't let the play start in time and the umpires have decided to close the game officially. The match has been abandoned here at the home of cricket and it has ended in a draw.
8:00 PM IST| TEA on Day 4. There has been no play in this session and the players are locked inside the dressing room. The umpires though came to have an inspection during the Lunch break and the outfield was too wet to resume play and the rain got heavier post the lunch break and hasn't stopped pouring yet. So the umpires decided to take early tea here at Lord's in this gloomy weather. Join us back in 20 minutes for the final session and we have our fingers crossed to see the players come out soon.
7:30 PM IST| Nothing has changed so far it's pouring here at Lord's and it's still very gloomy here. Rain has been predicted till 5 PM local time (9:30 PM IST). We all have our fingers crossed to see what will happen in this game. You could tune into Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants game for the time being.
Shashank: Nottinghamshire should had read the conditions better and have enforced the follow-on, they knew there will be rain in the final day and still opted to bat again, this might cost them some crucial points.
6:00 PM IST| Umpires are out to have a look at the outfield and they think it's still not ready to start the play yet as they head back to the dressing room. They have now even covered the sides as well as the rain has started to get bit heavier.
Tugral: Lunch, Day 4 and brings us to the end of the first session of the final day. Robson and Holden open their innings and both the batters were expanding their partnership very comfortably. Around 22 overs were bowled in the first session in which Middlesex scored 71 runs without losing any wicket. Robson and Holden have a very important partnership, to save their team, there has been a partnership of about 101 runs between these two for the 4th wicket. Robson hit the 6th century of his career and is still playing unbeaten on 101* runs. Holden was playing very defensive innings so far he has scored 18* runs in 115 balls and is still unbeaten.

The bowlers of Nottinghamshire have attacking bowling since morning but the luck of any bowler was not working till now. Only 22 overs were bowled in the match, it started drizzling lightly, due to which the match had to be stopped earlier. Now it has to be seen that 75 overs are to be bowled in the whole day. What kind of batting do Middlesex's batters and will Nottinghamshire bowlers be able to break this partnership in the second session? Middlesex requires 383 runs off 75 overs left in a day. We will meet again with the live coverage of the second session of the final day in the next few minutes. Stay Tuned !!!
The lights have been getting poor and poor and it's also been drizzling a bit, enough rain to wet the outfield and the umpires think it is dangerous conditions and calls for the hoover to come over as the players head to the Lord's dressing room. Stay tuned for further updates, till then you could enjoy other cricket matches happening around the globe.
