That's it from our coverage of India's tour of Ireland 2022. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Shashank and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing coverage from around the globe.
Beautiful scenes here at Malahide as Hardik immediately hands over the winning trophy to the youngest import of Indian cricket, Umran Malik!
Hardik Pandya (India skipper): "I was not worried. Trying to keep pressure out of the equation to focus on the present. With Umran's pace, it is always going to be difficult. We have come to play a game of cricket. They played some amazing shots, batted really well. At the same time credit to our bowlers as well to win the game in the end. It was fantastic playing here. Their favorite boys were Dinesh and Sanju so I think they enjoyed seeing them play. Whenever we play, lot of support comes for India. We try to entertain them and I hope we made it worth coming here. Absolutely proud, as a child and as a youngster it is always a dream to represent India and getting my first series win as skipper was really special. I am very happy for Hooda and Umran the way they played."
Andy Balbirnie (Ireland skipper): "We did good with the bat and were in the game till the end. You feel disappointed when you come this close. The crowd was amazing in the past two days. Paul Stirling played brilliantly especially the first over against Bhuvi. I took some time to get going but the guys down the order did a great job. We are trying to figure out what's the brand of cricket we wanna play. At this moment we are disappointed but we have put up a decent performance against a team like India. We will keep going with the same mindset in T20 cricket and we have a series against New Zealand as well.

Deepak Hooda (Player of the Match): "I had a good IPL season and wanted to take the same form and confidence into this series and it worked out well. I like to play according to the situation and try to be key part of the team's success. I and Sanju have been childhood friends and love to share such a record partnership with him, I have known him from u-19 days. Ireland is a very beautiful country and this has been a brilliant stadium, the crowd here has been amazing and it never felt like I was playing in Ireland as it felt more like home. Thank You everyone."

Harshal Patel: "We were comfortable with such a total, most of the time you win after scoring 225, we held our nerves and trusted our plans and got the job done. The momentum was definitely with Ireland in the last over and Umran Malik did well to defend 17 in that over. Irish batters showcased their talents and were really good today, they are a great side."
Stay tuned as we bring you the post match presentation in a while.
A nervy end to the game and to the series as Hardik Pandya led team India seal the series 2-0. Young gun Umran Malik kept his calm in the final over and defended 18 runs to take India home by 4 runs.

Indian skipper Hardik Pandya won yet another toss and decided to bat first as India played with three changes; Sanju Samson, Harshal Patel and Ravi Bishnoi all three making their comebacks in the XI. India got to a slow and poor start as they found themselves at 13-1 in the third over losing Ishan Kishan.

Sanju Samson made his comeback and opened the batting with Kishan as he added a record 176 runs for the second wicket with Deepak Hooda who scored a blistering century (104 off 57) batting at number three.

The batters got set and then put the stage on fire playing attacking brand of cricket all over the field. Samson hit nine fours and four sixes getting to his first international half century (77 off 42). India lost six wickets for just 35 runs in the final four overs as the middle order failed.

There was a short cameo from Suryakumar Yadav who scored his first runs on the tour, 15 off 5 deliveries.
After a brilliant partnership at the top, the Indian batting card had three golden ducks in a row at the bottom as Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel and Harshal Patel all lost their wickets on the first ball they faced.

Mark Adair picked up three wickets as Josh Little and the most economic of the lot, Craig Young picked up a couple of wicket each. Adair bowled a brilliant yorker to dismiss Samson in the 17th over.

In reply, Ireland started really well. Paul Stirling (40 off 18) was on fire and scored 18 runs off the very first over of the inning against Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He got going against Hardik Pandya and Harshal Patel as well but was bowled by a Ravi Bishnoi googly in the sixth over as Ireland went on to score 73 runs losing the solitary wicket in the powerplay, 19 more than what India got at the same stage.

Andy Balbirnie struggled to get off the mark but got his first twelve runs off sixes. He was lucky to get a reprieve against a non turning Bishnoi delivery when he overstepped and the TV umpire called it as a no ball. Balbirnie soon found his rhythm and got going as Ireland found themselves at 107-2 at the halfway stage needing 119 more for victory.

The skipper was sent back soon by a Harshal Patel delivery for a well made 60 off 37 balls but Harry Tector and George Dockrell kept Ireland ticking, keeping the required rate in check.
With 38 required in 18 balls, Bhuvneshwar bowled a tidy final over of his spell getting the important wicket of Harry Tector off his second ball and conceded 7 runs.

Harshal Patel bowled an expensive penultimate over conceding 14 runs which left 17 runs to be scored off the final over. Hardik Pandya had the option of bowling himself but showed faith in newbie Umran Malik who bowled a brilliant first couple of bowls and despite getting hit for a couple of boundaries, kept his calm and brought India a series win by 2-0!

19.6 U Malik to M Adair
1 It will onlyy be a single for Adair. Umran Malik holds his nerve well and takes his side to a victory. Ireland have fallen short by just 4 runs chasing such a huge score. A short ball wide of off, Adair slams it hard but straight to Sanju Samson at the deep point boundary, Adair is dissapointed but indians are in Ecstacy as they win the series 2-0.
19.5 U Malik to G Dockrell
1b A brilliant ball from Malik, a brilliant yorker around the legstump, Dockrell misses it and sneaks in a bye. 6 to win from 1.
19.4 U Malik to M Adair
1 Good ball from Umran, full and at the middle stump line, Adair inside edges it down to short fine leg for a single. 7 needed of 2.
19.3 U Malik to M Adair
4 FOUR MORE!!! Umran goes short and at 145 kph, wide of off, Adair gets an outside edge as he cuts and the ball goes over the man at short third man and its another four. 8 needed off 3.
19.2 U Malik to M Adair
4 FOUR!!! SMASHED!! Umran fails to nail his yorker and sits in the slot around off stump line, Adair drills it through the covers for a much needed boundary.
Oh no!! Drama again! Umran has overstepped. Free hit to follow!
19.2 U Malik to M Adair
NB Another dot ball, Umran malik's raw pace is too good for Adair, a length ball at the middle and leg stump and Adair fails to get bat on ball. Ohh no wait a second the umpire says its a noball, more drama in this contest.
Umran is stopped on the run-up by his teammates who are still moving the field.
