That's all from our side, this was Tugral Azmi alongside my fellow co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Paras our scorer/analyst for the match. Thank you for staying tuned with us in this rain-affected game. Stay tuned as we bring you updates from all across the globe until then stay safe, see you next time!
Hardik Pandya, India Winning Captain: "Fantastic win. Great to start with a win. Great to get a win and for our group, it was important to get the win today. Umran has been fantastic with the old ball and that's why I started. But Ireland played well and we had to alter the plans. I think Harry Tector played well. He is 22 and he played beautifully. I was having a word with him and I wish him the best for his future. We have areas to improve and hopefully, we do that more and get better weather on Tuesday. It's cold out here."
Andrew Balbirnie, Ireland Losing Captain: "It's not easy to wait after doing the warm-ups. Glad we got a game today. It was tough. High-class bowling and we didn't start well. We have to be on our toes to do well against India. Harry did well and that will give us confidence going forward come Tuesday. He gave us hope and the positives will be taken in the next game. Hope for better weather and a full game on Tuesday."
Yuzvendra Chahal, Player of the Match: "It's very difficult. I feel like a finger spinner here. Got to adapt to conditions. Hardik gave us the freedom to bowl to our strengths. It's cold and I better go from here."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony by Alan Wilkins.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: "I enjoyed bowling with the new ball with the swing on offer. It got better after that and the batters enjoyed it. It's important to bowl Test match lines and lengths and that helps you here. Immense talent in our dressing room and Umran is an example for you. IPL always provides a great platform for youngsters to perform. Enjoying our time in Ireland. We get support everywhere and that's what we love about playing for our country."
Tugral| 1.40 PM IST| So, we are done here with India winning the game with relative ease as they just had 109 to chase against Ireland. India won the match by 7 wickets.

India won the toss and decide to bowl, which was seen going in his favor throughout the match. When India’s opener came out to chase a modest target of 109. Kishan (26 off 11) started raining fire as he came, he did not hesitate to send every poor ball out of bounds. After that dismissal, Yadav joined Hooda in the middle, Yadav got out on the very first ball after being caught in the ball of Young and returned to the pavilion without opening an account.  After that dismissal, Pandya joined Hooda in the middle, they both started with all guns blazing and scored at a blistering pace. Pandya fell short Josh Little as he got out after a quick-fire cameo (24 off 12). Together they put up an important partnership of 64 runs for the 3rd wicket and brought the match to a good turn. India never looked like in any sort of trouble in this chase. In the end, the rest of the work was done by Hooda and Karthik, both of them played an unbeaten knock of 47* off 29 and 5* off 4, and India won the match by 7 wickets with ease.

From Ireland's bowling point of view, Young was good with his 2 overs 2 for 18. Josh Little took India's skipper's wicket but he was too expensive, he gave 39 in his 3 overs. None of the other Ireland bowlers could do anything special in today's match.

Earlier in the day, Harry Tector as his unbeaten 64 off 33 balls has kept the Irish in the hunt after a nightmarish start by the hosts. Ireland put into bat first by Hardik Pandya were off to a dismal start as they lost 3 wickets for 22 runs in the first four overs of the powerplay. He was supported by LoranTucker for a while 18 off 16 balls but he single-handedly took them to this total. Irish weather reduced a lot of overs but the audience got to see an exciting match today.
