That's it from our coverage of match 28 and that's it from the league phase of the CSA T20 Challenge. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Anirudh Modi and Akshaya Krishna. Stay tuned for more coverage from across the globe. Stay safe and take care.
Nono Pongolo: "We had lot of expectations from our side. Unfortunately one or two games didn't go accordingly especially the last one but as Zuma said we look forward. We wanted the other game to be on our side but unfortunately. In the new structure every game counts and there is nothing such as dead rubber. We finished with some more points. Lot of people didn't expect us to play this well. We wanted to finish strong and we executed in terms of our batting what we wanted to do. Our bowling was top class and the fielding was up to the mark as well so this was the best game for us in the tournament. We got a lot of options in the team but one or two with the bat and ball didn't go to according to our plan. As a group I can say that we can take a lot of positives from this season."
Lwandiswa Zuma ,Bowler of the Match: "Yeah, always tough coming into the tournament and play the dead rubber. Happy to get the wicket of the top run getter Stubbs in the tournament. Now having to play the domestic 50-over tournament which is coming in a few days time. Thanks."
Heino Kuhn: "I am happy with my performance the way we batted and played throughout. We played well in the other games. Couple of games, we probably should have won but there were glimpses of some very good performances."
Heino Kuhn is the batter of the match.
Chasing 170 to win in a dead rubber the Warriors' chase didn't start as per their plan as they lost their opener Wihan Lubbe in the very first over for a four ball duck. They lost another wicket in the powerplay in the form of JJ Smuts who was run out courtesy a direct hit from Dwaine Pretorius. Matthew Breetzke was off strike for a considerate period of time as he faced only six deliveries in five overs despite opening the batting and ended up with 13 off 11 balls getting out to Muthusamy in the seventh over. Thanks to his couple of boundaries, Warriors managed to score 43 runs in the powerplay after losing two wickets.

Muthusamy bowled some tight overs in the middle phase giving away only 15 runs and picking a wicket in his four over spell. Lesiba Ngoepe (43 off 28) added 45 runs for the fourth wicket with Tristan Stubbs (18 off 19) but fell in the thirteenth over. Lwandwisa Zuma bowled an excellent spell of 3 for 25 in his 3 overs and picked two important wickets in the fifteenth over to push back the Warriors on the backfoot.

Warriors skipper Sinethemba Qeshile and Rudi Second then led the charge in the final four overs and lifted the Warriors closer to the total. Both of them played their strokes freely, capitalizing on lose deliveries and also put up an excellent show running between the wickets.

But there was a twist in the tale as Qeshile and Rudi Second, both were dismissed in the penultimate over by Duan Jansen with seventeen runs still required in the final over. It was upto the new pair of Jacobs and Ndwandwa to score the runs in the final over agains the experience of Dwaine Pretorius but the latter finished on top dismissing Jacobs for a golden duck and hit the block hole more often than not and varied his pace with back of a length deliveries to restrict the Warriros 11 runs short of their target.

Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.
