This is it from the live coverage of Somerset vs Derbyshire, as we conclude this game with the hosts winning it by 191 runs. That’s it for today from myself Tugral Azmi alongside my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and our scorer/analyst Paras. See you soon again tomorrow with more games to follow till then stay safe and stay tuned.
Rilee Rossouw: "It has been fantastic all season. Any way if you score runs the fans are gonna love you and I am fortunate I have scored some runs this season and want to continue for the next two games. Every game is a new game. I've had a calm mind and know how to approach the game and how to play the ball. In that state of mind, every ball is a free hit. (Abell, Smeed, Banton)They take pressure off everyone in the batting order. Lot of young bowlers go and talk to Siddle he has so much experience. I am looking ahead to semi final. If you make it to semi final, your team is very good. There is no preference of playing a team. In knock out games, any team can have a good or bad day. We will keep playing with the same approach."

Somerset defeated Derbyshire by 191 runs at their home ground in a knock-out match to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Derbyshire had a poor start and Harry Came got out on the first over. Shortly after Came was dismissed, the Siddle uprooted Reece's stump on the third ball of his first over. On the fifth ball of the same over, Siddle made Derbyshire's skipper walk without opening an account. Madsen and Cartwright tried to handle Derbyshire's sinking innings but Somerset's bowlers were not allowing any batters to stay at the crease for long today. All the batters of Derbyshire were under pressure to chase such a big target. Four of Derbyshire's top-order batters were dismissed during the powerplay and returned to the pavilion. Falcons seven batters got out in single-digit numbers and did not show a good game with the bat. Three of Derbyshire's batters returned to the pavilion without bothering the scoreboard and without opening the account. Somerset's bowlers took them out of the game by uprooting the wickets of Derbyshire at every short interval. Other batters also chipped in with some runs but nobody managed to capitalize on their innings. The players of Derbyshire had given up on seeing the target as they did not show any effort today to return to the game and in the end, the entire team was piled up on an embarrassing 74 runs.

However, from the bowling side, Somerset bowlers uprooted the opponent’s wickets with their deadly bowling attack. Siddle was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. He was the pick of the bowlers for Somerset he took 3 wickets and gave away 10 runs in his 2 overs. Green also took three wickets. Gregory took a couple of wickets. Overton also managed to take a wicket but he gave away a lot of runs in his 3 overs.
11.2 B Green to M Mckiernan
W It's all over here at Taunton as Somerset win by 191 runs! Length delivery from Green around the off stump. McKiernan goes for the big heave in the leg side but gets a leading edge. The ball is high in the air moving towards the third man region. Bartlett takes the catch, tosses the ball in the air as he crosses the boundary rope, jumps back in the playing area, and finishes the catch! Somerset are in the final.

1W No, no no! Poor running between the wickets! What is Ben Aitchison thinking out there! A flat delivery from van der Merwe. Pushed in the cow corner. Overton runs to his left from deep midwicket and throws it towards the bowler. Aitchison is almost at the non striker's end as McKiernan tries to send him back being settled in the crease. van der Merwe collects the ball and throws it to the keeper on the bounce who flips the bails! Silly run out.
