2.00 AM IST : A dominant performance put on by Somerset here over Surrey who never looked in the chase after losing 3-11 inside the first 3 overs. Jordan and Evans got going and stitched together a good partnership of 82 inside 8 overs before Evans got out for 39 off 32. Jordan played captain innings and kept them in the hunt with 73 off 35 balls. None of the other Surrey batters got in the game. C Overton for Somerset started off on an excellent note picking 3 wickets in his 1st spell and coming back to pick his brother Jamie to pick his 4th wicket ending with 4-25 off his spell.  Van der Merwe and Siddle picked up 2 wickets and Davey picked up a wicket to end a brilliant display of bowling from Somerset.

Somerset in their batting innings were 2 down for 29 in 4 overs before Smeed and Captain Abell got together and had a partnership of 155 runs inside 13 overs to get them to 194 but once both of them got out, the wickets fell regularly for Somerset and Surrey fought back keeping them for 218-8 in 20 overs. Surrey bowlers were good in patches with Topley having a good spell of 2-26 off 4 overs. Jordan picked up 3 at the end and Atkinson ended with 2-34 of his 4-over spell. The rest of the bowlers went for plenty. All-round performances by Somerset here who are into the quarters and get a home game with this display for their Quarterfinal.
