Milestone
That brings us to the end of our coverage for this game. Till the next time, it's good-bye and good-night from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Akshay Bhide along with our scorer Paras Yadav
Arya- Earlier in the day it was Surrey skipper Chris Jordan who won the toss and put Sussex in. Harrison Ward and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings for Sussex and got their side off to a solid start. Rizwan in particular timed the ball brilliantly right from the outset while Ward took his time early on. Ward was the first to go as he chipped a fuller-length delivery from Worrall straight to Sunil Narine.

Rizwan and Alistair Orr carried on the good work and found the boundaries at crucial junctures as the run-rate never came down drastically. Rizwan looked in good shape and so was Alistair. He smashed a six and three fours during his knock of 30 of just 19 deliveries. However, it was the double-wicket break that Surrey needed desperately which got them right back into the game.

Orr was dismissed by Atkinson but it was the direct hit from Chris Jordan to send back Mohammad Rizwan that elevated Surrey to the top. They tightened the screws in the next few overs as the Sussex batters couldn't quite get the boundaries they would have wanted. Tom Alsop and Ravi Bopara couldn't make an impact either as both were dismissed early.

Sussex needed a blitz in the end to finish with a flourish and that was exactly what was provided by Delray Rawlins and George Garton. Rawlins has always been such a delight to watch in full flow but it has been inconsistency which has never allowed him to take giant strides in his career.

However, he showed the glimpses today with some brutal blows. He smashed 3 fours and 3 sixes during his knock of 34 of 17 deliveries. He was supported brilliantly by Gartob who also smashed a vital 12 balls 24 which helped them get to a respectable score of 172 which proved to be comfortable enough in the end.
Arya- Sussex did a great job reaching 172 after a hiccup in the middle overs but the target was just par for the course. Surrey would have definitely backed themselves to chase this down at the halfway mark. Will Jacks and Jamie Smith got Surrey off to a blazing start as boundaries started to flow from both ends. It was an exhibition of strokeplay from both openers and at that stage, the target looked well within grasp.

Sussex needed wickets badly and it was provided at a crucial juncture by Steven Finn. One brought another as Nico Reifer fell cheaply off the bowling of Henry Crocombe. The tone was set for Sussex to claw their way back into the game but the duo of Will Jacks and Laurie Evans had other ideas.

They took the game by the scruff of the neck and started taking on the Sussex bowlers and they were put off-guard. They couldn't find the lengths as both the batters went berserk and got them off to 106/2 at the end of the 10th over Just when the match was slipping away from Sussex, there was s flurry of wickets which suddenly got them back in the game.

Tymal Mills bagged the wicket of Laurie Evans to start the slide. Sunil Narine smashed a first-ball six of Rashid Khan but the spin wizard came back strongly to dismiss another magician with a perfectly pitched googly. Rory Burns was sent to steady the ship but he came dancing down the track to a Delray Rawlins delivery and was stumped comfortably by Mohammad Rizwan.

Will Jacks was still in and until he was there it was still an easy chase for Surrey. However, his wicket turned the game upside down and from there on it was just destruction as far as the Surrey lower order was concerned. They kept giving away cheap wickets and eventually they were bowled out inside the 19th over. Quite a surprise, especially after the situation they were in, at the halfway mark of the run-chase.
Arya- A heck of a victory for Sussex. They were nowhere in the game at the halfway point of the run-chase and has pocketed this from the jaws of defeat. Everything fell apart for Surrey after the 10th over and fittingly it was Ravi Bopara who inflicted a terrific run out to seal a come from behind for Sussex.
18.2 T Mills to D Moriarty
W That is the end of the match. An exceptional direct hit from Ravi Bopara, had one stump to aim at that's exactly what he does. Sussex was in no position to win that, Surrey have capitulated quite meekly that has handed Sussex a 17 runs victory. A slower delivery on a length outside off from Tymal Mills. Moriaty pushes this down the cover region and takes on Bopara's arm in an attempt to steal a single. The skipper was very agile there, gets rid of that earl and his the bullseye to perfection.
18.1 T Mills to D Moriarty
0 Dot ball to start the over for Tymal Mills. Short slower delivery, Moriaty attempts to pull but he is all over that. No position to get that pull away with that sort of a delivery on the surface.

17.6 R Khan to D Worrall
0 A huge appeal from Rashid and co but the umpire denies. That lobbed up in the air but in all likelihood didn't take the bat. Good work by Rizwan though, good grab.
17.5 R Khan to D Worrall
0 Fractionally flatter a tad outside off. Worrall dabs that away down the off side.
17.4 R Khan to D Worrall
0 A quick length delivery, was the leg break and Worrall defends this solidly off the fronfoot.
17.3 R Khan to D Moriarty
1 Quicker and flatter around off. Moriaty rocks back and works that away down the deep midwicket region for a single.
17.2 R Khan to D Moriarty
4 Moriaty has got that away for a one-bounce boundary. That is a heck of a shot. Good swing of the bat on that occasion, was just in the slot a tad outside off and Moriaty has slog-swept that down the vacant deep midwicket region and finds the boundary.
17.1 R Khan to D Worrall
1 Rashid Khan into his final over. Starts off with a flatter trajectory delivery a tad outside off. That has been flat-batted down the wide long-on region for a single.

16.6 T Mills to D Moriarty
0 Mills follows Moriaty yet again. Was a slower delivery on a length, a bit of extra bounce and Moriaty just manages to keep that on the surface.
16.5 T Mills to D Worrall
1 Worrall plays that past backward point, an athletic dive from Rashid Khan but couldn't quite stop the single. Length delivery on the leg stump, Worrall makes some room and works it away down the off side.
16.4 T Mills to D Worrall
0 Good-length slower delivery a tad outside off, Worrall dabs that away straight to Rashid Khan at backward point.
