Thank you for joining us for the live coverage of the T20 blast between Essex and Somerset, this was Vatsal Negandhi alongside Anirudh Modi and our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned as we join you with other fixtures across the globe, until then stay safe!

A dominant performance with the bat by the Somerset team, chasing 188 for victory they got off to a quick start by Smeed who hit 22 off 7 balls and gave the momentum. After Banton got out, Rossouw and Abell stitched and excellent partnership of 153 unbeaten runs and batted through the chase. They did not let the Essex bowlers get in their groove.Rossouw in particular was smashing the bowlers all around the park as he scored 85*off 36 balls striking at almost 240 while Abell gave him able support and remained unbeaten on 62 off 46 balls and finished the chase in 17.3 overs

Essex on the other hand had a good total on the board but Nijjar started the over poorly and that set them back. Cook and D Sams tried to get them back in the game but the bowlers around them were going for a plenty and could not stop the Somerset batters from scoring big. A poor day on the filed for ESSEX Eagles
