Lancashire were up against the challenge of Nottinghamshire in the 88th game of the T20 Blast. Earlier in the day Lancashire won the toss and decided to bowl first.

The team had a slow start with the ball as the opposition came all guns blazing in the power play, with Alex Hales smoking 22 runs off 12 balls, however after his wicket the Notts lost some momentum in the contest.

Ben Duckett and Smit Patel gave the innings some stabilisation in the middle overs as they helped their side get over 100 runs. Tom Hartley gave his side the breakthrough in the 9th and 14th over as he sent both the batters packing.

Dane Christian though played a cameo in the slog overs to help his side put 165 runs on the board at the designated 20 overs to end the first innings.

The chase didn't start off according to plan for Lancashire as they lost two wickets up top. But post that things did take a turn as Vilas and Croft joined hands out in the middle and smoked the bowlers to all parts of the ground. It was some batting by the two as they laid a perfect foundation for victory in this high voltage run chase.

Despite a few setbacks Steven Croft finished the chase in the 19th over with a boundary.
