So that's it from this game or should I say from this rain. Two teams will share a point each now. For now, I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of Ayan Chatterjee who alongside our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi brought you whatever the updates came our way from this fixture. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it's ta-ta, bye-bye..!
Sad news from the County Ground in Bristol as the match has been abandoned without a single ball being bowled. The toss was delayed initially due to rain and after one and half an hour delay, we had the toss, which was won by Gloucestershire, who chose to bowl. The match was reduced to 11-overs aside. With all expectations of a game being finally starting, the rain came back again. And this didn't stop, leaving the umpires having no choice rather than calling it off.
1:08 AM IST: MATCH HAS BEEN ABANDONED!
12:47 AM IST: Now more and more covers are being brought on to cover the squares on either sides of the pitch. For a five overs game, we need to start by 1:30 AM IST.
12:42 AM IST: The rain has come back. Right when it was about to start the rain gods are back. The pitch has been covered now and we have further delay here.

TOSS: Gloucestershire have won the toss and elected to bowl first.
The match is set to start at 12:45 AM IST. The match is reduced to 11-overs per side. The powerplays will be off 3.2 overs!
12:27 AM IST: The covers from the pitch is now being taken off. The umpires are out there inspecting the pitch. We need to wait for the official update about the conditions and if possible then when the play begins. Toss will be at 12:30 AM IST!
12:11 AM IST: The news from the ground is that there will be a pitch inspection at 12:15 AM IST (7:45 Local Time). The majority of the covers have been removed now. The players from both teams are having a slight warm-up out there.
11:36 PM IST: Looks like the rain has eased out a bit now as we see the super soppers are put into work now.
11:23 PM IST: The groundsmen are walking around looking at the conditions of the ground. Doesn't seem that the rain has stopped. But they are watching the outfield with all of their eyes wide open!
The groundstaffs have to be out there clearing the waters on the ground by 12:30 AM IST and the first ball have to be bowled by 1:30 AM IST! Add to the woes, the forecast for the rest of the day is not at all good.
10:53 PM IST: Now the news is coming that it is raining cats and dogs at Bristol! The ground is full of covers and it is not a good sign for the cricket lovers.
10:34 PM IST: Toss has been delayed! The umpires will have a look at the pitch shortly. There was some amount of rain which came just about half an hour prior to the actual toss time.

Head-To-Head: Both teams have met on 30 occasions in a T20 game, and Gloucestershire hold an edge with 16 victories. In the last encounter earlier in this edition, Gloucestershire were clinical to chase 158 and secure a win by 5 wickets.
