Milestone
That's the end of our coverage for today. Till the next time it's good-bye and good-night from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentator Ajay Ahire along with our scorer Ashok Dayma.
Arya- The run-chase was a tricky one for Essex right from the word go. There was a drizzle around and the batsmen were well aware of the fact that the ball would skid around. After a sedate opening partnership of 22 runs between Rossington and Feroze Khushi, it was James Fuller who sent the latter back to the pavilion. Adam Rossington couldn't bide his time in the crease much as he was again prized out by Fuller just after the powerplay ended.

Pepper and Mathew Critchley had short lives in the crease as Essex felt the heat and it looked that the target was a bit too much for them. While it was James Fuller who bagged the wicket of Critchley, it was Mason Crane who induced a false shot from Pepper's bat as he ended up lobbing one tossed up delivery straight back to the bowler. Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals of the game as Essex kept falling behind in the game.

Tom Westley and Paul Walter were out for Essex with some useful contributions but it was always going to be for a losing cause. While Westley made 17 balls 19, Walter scored 27 of 24. However, they couldn't quite get the momentum which was needed and kept falling behind the nine-ball. Eventually, it was steady bowling from Hampshire as they registered a comprehensive 32 runs victory.

Earlier in the day, after batting first Hampshire posted a more than a decent score of 155 in their allotted 20 overs on the back of a some useful contributions from James Vince, Weatherley and Tom Prest. They batted sensibly in the middle overs and despite the pitch not being conducive for batting, they stuck it out and batted really well. The final impetus was provided by Toby Albert as he smashed a 12 balls 24 which included 4 fours to get their side over the 150 mark. In the end it proved to be way too much for Essex.
Arya- In the end, it has been a comprehensive performance from Hampshire as they make it three in three after losing four on a bounce. It was a great bowling effort by Hampshire to skittle Essex out for just 123 runs on the first delivery of the final over. James Fuller was the pick of the bowlers for Hampshire as he bagged four important wickets which were instrumental in pushing them on the back foot and eventually winning it comfortably by 32 runs. What an exceptional comeback this has been from Hampshire.

19.1 C Wood to Cook
W And that is the end of the game. Hampshire has rolled over Essex here. A fuller-length delivery from Chris Wood. Cook shuffles across the off-stump and tries to ramp that past the short fine leg fielder. However the pace was bit too much and Cook couldn't make any contact. The ball clatters onto the stumps and Hampshire wins their 3rd game on the trot.

18.5 B Wheal to Cook
1 Cook comes down the track and tries to pull that away. Cooks gets it fro the splice of the bat, falls short of the mid-off fielder and a single taken.

18.4 B Wheal to B Allison
W This is an exceptional yorker from Brad Wheal. A quick yorker on the base of the stumps and not many would have had a clue there. At pace and Allison had no chance of making any contact. The ball sneaks through his defence and clatters onto the stumps.
18.3 B Wheal to B Allison
0 Swing and a miss. Quick good-length delivery on the stumps and Allison swings across the hard and the ball jumps over his defence.

18.2 B Wheal to A Nijjar
W One more bites the dust and Nijjar is the man walking back to the pavilion. Just the faintest of outside edges and the wicket-keeper doesn't make a mistake. Brad Wheal bowls it on a length a tad outside off. Nijjar swings hard across the line, only to get a faint outside edge which has been safely taken by the keeper behind the stumps.
18.1 B Wheal to S Snater
1 Snater shuffles across the off-stump and tries to ramp that over the short fine leg fielder. Just gets some glove to it and a single taken.
