That's a wrap on our coverage of Match 59 of the Vitality T20 Blast 2022. Do join us for more Blast and all other cricketing action across the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee biding you goodnight/good morning from the commentary box on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Until next time we meet again, CHEERS!
Jason Roy | Player of the Match: "Thatโ€™s the score I wanted all tournament. Nice to get the derby win. It is a very cool dressing room to be in. Iโ€™m comfortable in the dressing room and everyone has stepped up and backed each and every one. Jordan deserved a fifer tonight and he bowled fantastically. Iโ€™ll be leaving for the Netherlands on Tuesday and certainly looking forward to regrouping with the English side."

Jason Roy has been named the Player of the Match for his 81 off just 45 balls.
Stephen Eskinazi | Middlesex Skipper: "Disappointed with the result but we will take positive from tonight. We have a young group and we did a good job to challenge the experienced Surrey side. We have got a game tomorrow and will look to bounce back. We have been losing our way after the powerplay and we have to look at it. We need to be good at rotating the strike in the middle overs and look for boundary options."

Chris Jordan | Surrey Skipper: "It is a good feeling in the camp. The boys stepped up and held their nerves to get the job done. We managed to build good chemistry in the camp. Our first game was a tight game and it just build a good camaraderie between us. Everyone has stepped up and in every match we have different match-winners. So that helps us moving forward."

That's a top-class win for Surrey as they remain unbeaten in the competition. They win by 20 runs against Middlesex in the London Derby and take all the honors to South London. Another loss for Middlesex.

Chasing 209 was always going to be a daunting task, but Middlesex gave a good account of themselves as they raced away to 76 runs in the powerplay. But things started to unravel in the middle overs of their batting innings. Stephen Eskinazi the skipper started things off with his 47 off 31 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes to his name. He was ably supported by Max Holden 33 off 18 balls with 6 fours to his name. The middle-order faded away with Morgan, Cracknell, John Simpson, and Luke Hollman falling away. Chris Green played a lone hand in the end remaining unbeaten on 46 off 29 balls. But it was just too much to do for the Middlesex team.

From Surrey's bowling point of view, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-31 in 4 overs including getting two in the over and twice off the first balls. He was ably supported by Sunil Narine who was miserly as ever in his 2-28 in 4 overs which as it turns out is his most expensive spell to date. A wicket in one over for 1 run for Jamie Overton and a wicket for Sam Curran although he traveled for runs tonight. All in all, the bowlers just did enough to win the game by 20 runs.

Earlier in the game, it was the Jason Roy show as his 81 off 45 balls laced with 10 fours and three sixes was the cornerstone of the 208-7 they scored. He was ably supported by Laurie Evans (22 off 14 balls), Sunil Narine (25 off 16 balls), Kieron Pollard (16*off 15 balls), Jamie Overton with a wonderful cameo of 27 off 12 balls, and the skipper Chris Jordan himself with his 16 off 7 balls. 12 extras contributed to the total as well.

From Middlesex's bowling point of view, Jason Behendroff was the pick of the bowlers with his 2-36 in 4 overs. Martin Andersson was also good in his 2-32 in 4 overs. Tom Helm went the distance as he was clobbered for 1-56 in 4 overs. TobyRoland-Jones went for 40 runs in 4 overs for his only wicket. Chris Green went the distance for his 43 runs in 4 overs for his solitary wicket.

So, Surrey remains unbeaten in this South Group alongside Lancashire who is unbeaten in the North Group. They are looking like the team to beat in my opinion. So, Surrey wins by 20-runs. Stick around for the post-match presentation coming your way.
