Lloyd then went on to hit an enthralling fifty off just 31 balls and continued his good work even after the milestone for a while. Howell took a sharp catch off his own bowling to dismiss the well set Glamorgan skipper for a well made 68 off 43 deliveries, including 10-fours and a biggie.
The collapse started here and wickets were tumbled at regular intervals. There were no big partnerships after the first wicket 90-run stand. Glamorgan lost 8-wickets for 68-runs and were reduced from 90/0 to 158/8 at the end of their allotted 20 overs.
Gloucestershire used eight bowlers but only a few bowlers were among the wickets. Benny Howell, David Payne, and Glenn Phillips were the bowlers with two wickets against their name while Tom Smith and Ryan Higgins scalped a wicket each.
The chase was delayed for a few minutes due to a small drizzle just before the start. But as soon as the pursuit to 159 resumed, as Glamorgan, Gloucestershire too started off in a stylish manner. Miles Hammond and James Bracey gave the team a solid start as the duo took the attack on the home side to pile on the runs in the first six overs making full use of the field restrictions.
In the seventh over which Daniel Douthwaite delivered, the visitors lost their first wicket at 58. Hammond (31 off 22) tried to go up over the covers by using his feets but holed out to deep covers fielder.
Ian Cockbain (10 off 7) was then taken care of by the left-arm orthodox Prem Sisodiya with a lovely caught and bowled.
With the score reading 71/2, Glenn Phillips joined hands with Bracey as both continued to pile on the work which was set up by Hammond early on. With the score moving to 100/2 the drizzle came back and halted the chase for a short while.
After another resumption, Bracey continued his good work at the office with a solid fifty. He alongside Phillips made sure that they were cruising to the target. 76-runs between them for the third wicket before the swashbuckling innings' from Phillips (40 off 27) was ended by Daniel Douthwaite.
Douthwaite tried his best as he picked up two wickets in consecutive deliveries in the 17th over before Michael Hogan getting the prized scalp of Bracey for a well made 63 off 49 balls in the next over to make the chase which was fairly done and dusted a bit more interesting.
