21:35 IST | Review: So, finally we have the official statement from the umpires that they have concluded the day. A point each for Glamorgan and Surrey. Nothing much from the second innings here as Glamorgan played only 9 balls i.e 1.3 overs and they scored 9 runs off those balls. David Lloyd and Sam Northeast went to the pavilion as Not Out batters.
Whereas, from the Surrey's batting department batters like Jason Roy, Sam Curran and Jamie Overton played some really good cricket here. Roy scored a total of 21 runs including 3 beautifully driven fours. He collected 9 runs off that Pull shot and 4 runs each using the Cover drive and Glance shot.
Overton played his one of the best T20 Blast innings here. He smashed 4 sixes in his innings and those were played around long-on and long-off regions (24 runs) i.e 50% of his total runs. Thus, due to this performance, Surrey was able to set a decent total of 160 runs on the board.

So, we have the official news. With the rain intensifying here in Cardiff, the umpires have decided to call it a day. Match has been abandoned due to rain. Both teams get a point each. This was inevitable as this was coming. A point each for Glamorgan and Surrey.
Well, as I thought the drizzle is back and the side covers are back with the hover cover. We hadn't lost any overs but now we are sure to lose overs from here. The chances of a resumption look bleak at this stage.
Interesting news coming from Cardiff is that we will have a re-start at 16:35 IST which is 21:05 IST. And we are hearing no overs have been lost. So resumption at 21:05 IST. The live pictures though show that the covers are firmly in place.
We are hearing from the ground that the cut-off time is 16:45 Local Time i.e. 21:15 IST. This is for a 5-over start. I don't see play resuming as it's hammering down at Cardiff. Let's hope for the best and keep our fingers crossed.
