So it is the wrap up of coverage of the game between Northamptonshire and Lancashire here in the Vitality Blast tournament at Manchester. Stay tuned to our network for all other cricketing action around the globe.
For now, it is me, Saptak Sanyal alongside my co-commentator, Arijit Kundu and scorer Manish Bishnoi signing off from the commentary box. Until we meet again, stay happy and safe. Good night.
Saptak: Lancashire has done it finally.3 was needed off 1 and they got 2 lucky runs by wide and then finished the game with a no ball!

Winning the toss, Steelbacks had won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost an early wicket in the form of Lewis McManus. The Steelbacks stitched some short partnerships but none of them managed to stick long together. Ben Curran and Joshua Cobb were looking good together and smashed the spinners for quite some time before getting out to Liam Livingstone in the 7th over.

After the 7th over, Northamptonshire were on 58-2. They lost a few more wickets after a while and lost wickets in the form of Ben Curran, Rob Keogh, and Jimmy Neesham. Saif Zaib was the lone warrior here and lacked support from the other end. He started slow, was watchful and piled up 57 runs from 41 balls and accelerated the scoreboard to 153-6.

Coming to chase 154, Keaton Jennings struggled a bit but after that Phil Salt played a responsible innings before getting out to Greame White. After that, the partnership between Dane Vilas and Tim David helped Lancashire to go close to the target. They Shared a partnerhip of 53 between them and after that Vilas departed for 32.

Some death-over drama continued until Jimmy Neesham did a blunder of bowling a wide ball in the last ball of the innings. Though Neesham took 4 wickets and bowled really well, he ruined everything in the last ball.
Tim David did really well for his 42 and went to snatch the game from oppositon somehow.
19.6 J Neesham to L Wood
Nb Whoaa!! What a way to bring the winning runs! A no-ball from the bowler and he has ruined it all, despite dragging his team close to victory. Wood closes the face of the bat too early on this and the ball ricochets towards the fences off the thickish outside edge. Well, its a no-ball and therefore the boundary won't matter here.
19.6 J Neesham to T Hartley
1wd Wide and runs a single as bye!! One ball one needed now!! Well, well well!! This one has come down to the last ball. What a fascinating competition between two of the onsong sides of the tournament. Length ball, goes wide off the tramline and the duo scampers for a single too.

19.5 J Neesham to T David
W Another one bites the dust and it seems like Jimmy Neesham is taking the game in his court all alone!  Full and quick on the middle stick line and David looks to go across the line this time. The batter misses it as he gets beaten on the outside half of the bat and the umpire stands still with a quite easy made decision.
19.4 J Neesham to L Wood
1 Back of a length delivery this time, once again taking the pace of the ball. Wood pushes it towards short extra covers and hastens for a single.

19.3 J Neesham to D Lamb
W Gonee!! Goodness me, this one has gone down the wire!! A slower one, dished outside the off stump and Lamb looks to pull it over the ropes on the onside. He failed to power it and ends up giving a simple catch to Graeme White at deep mid wicket. Clever from Jimmy Neesham to drag the batter, force a shot away from his body, that too towards the longer side of the boundary. 4 needed from 3 balls now!!
19.3 J Neesham to D Lamb
WD Neesham attempts a widish yorker and misses it perfect it by mere margins. This one is outside the tramline on the off side and the called a wide by the onfield umpire.
19.2 J Neesham to T David
1 Length delivery near the off stump and David nudges it towards backward point for a single. They run hard for and manages to get past the popping crease. 5 runs needed of 4 balls now.
19.1 J Neesham to T David
0 Length delivery near the off stump and David works this towards backward point.

18.5 B Sanderson to D Lamb
6 Whoaaa!! Thats some fancied shot from Lamb. Fuller one outside the off and the batter shuffles across the line, gets to his knees and swots it over the deep backward square leg region for a six.
18.4 B Sanderson to T David
1 Back of a length delivery outside the off and the batter slaps it towards deep covers for a single.
