That's the end of our coverage. Do join us tomorrow for more cricketing action across the globe. This is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of Nikhil Kalla and scorer Chandan. Tata. Bye Bye.
Akshay: That’s it. A solid performance from Surrey as they complete a comprehensive victory over Hampshire in front of their home crowd. They knock over Hampshire on 156 to win the game by 72 runs. The batters set up things nicely for them in the first innings and the bowlers backed them to register their third win of the competition.

It was Hampshire skipper Liam Dawson who won the toss and asked Surrey to bat first. He dismissed Roy in the very first over for one. Sam Curran along with Will Jacks led the recovery work and played aggressively right from the start of their innings as they scored 58 in the first six overs. Both played some brilliant strokes and found the fence occasionally as both brought up their fifties. Jacks was dismissed by Dawson on 64 off 36 balls. Curran was removed in the same over on 69 off 38 balls.

Sunil Narine walked in to bat and went berserk from the word go as he played some outrageous strokes. He hit four towering sixes as he brought up his fifty off just 22 balls. He was well-supported by Laurie Evans as it helped them post 228 on the board. Dawson for Hampshire finished with three wickets. Nathan Ellis was also impressive with the ball.

Hampshire also lost a wicket in the first over of the innings as Nick Gubbins was removed on a duck by Reece Topley. Ben McDermott and Tom Prest went bonkers as both hit some beautiful strokes as they helped their side get off to a solid start. Curran changed the whole complexion of the match as he picked up three wickets in the fifth over, breaking the back of Hampshire’s batting lineup.

It was a monumental task for Hampshire to chase down this mammoth total and they never recovered from the collapse. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually knocked over on 156, losing the game by 72 runs.
James Fuller tried hard for Hampshire with 43 but it was always going to be too much for the visitors. Sam Curran was the pick of the bowlers for Surrey as he finished with figures of 5/30 in his four overs. Reece Topley also chipped in with a couple of wickets as they knocked over Hampshire in the penultimate over.

18.5 R Topley to M Crane
W OUT!!! Topley gets the final nail in the coffin of the visitors. Short delivery bouncing towards the bodyline and he has pulled this blindly but it sets up high in the air straight right near the 22-yards where he is taken cleanly. Surrey has won this game by 72 runs.

1 Touch fuller this time and he has punched this off his back foot towards the off side for a single.
