So, that's a wrap on our coverage of this fixture from Old Trafford. Switch tabs to catch more of the T20 Blast coming from the other venues today and tomorrow and for other cricketing action across the globe as cricket never ever stops in our network. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off from the commentary box on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Ishan Lalvani and our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Until next time we meet again, I am bidding you goodnight and cheers. TA-TA!
So, a comfortable win for the hosts Lancashire as they beat Derbyshire by 17 runs to climb to the top of the North Group. Derbyshire now has two wins and two losses under their belt. It was a belter of a wicket at Old Trafford, but 220 was a bridge too far for the visitors here at Old Trafford.

Chasing a massive 220 for an improbable win Derbyshire got off to the worst possible start as they lost their skipper Shan Masood who is also their leading run-getter for 8 off 6 balls. Luis Reece tried to revive the innings with his 55 off 36 balls laced with 4 fours and 2 sixes to his name. He was ably supported by Harry Came 21 off 15 balls and Wayne Madsen 13 off 12 balls as well. Later on, Leus du Plooy's unbeaten 59 off 31 balls and keeper batter Brooke Guest's 35 off 18 balls almost gave a scare to the hosts Lancashire, but they held their nerves till the end to collect another full point.

From Lancashire's bowling point of view, Liam Livingstone was the pick of the bowlers in his 1-28 in 4 overs. Tom Hartley picked up a couple of wickets in his 3 overs giving away 39 runs. A wicket for Luke Wood as well but he was hit for 43 in 4 overs. Richard Gleeson was taken to the cleaners with 37 off his 3 overs while Tim David the part-time off-spinner kept it tight just giving away 20 runs in 3 overs. Matthew Parkinson was also taken to the cleaners as he was plundered for 31 in 3 overs. But they did enough to hold off the visitors by 17 runs.

Earlier in the game, Lancashire won the toss and opted to bat first and put up a batting masterclass on a belter at Old Trafford. Keaton Jennings set the ball rolling with his quick-fire 34 off 21 balls with 5 fours and a six. Phillip Salt played second fiddle to him as he scored 19 off 13 balls. After that, it was the Liam Livingstone as the all-rounder put on a show here. His 75 off 40 balls was laced with 5 fours and 5 sixes as he powered the team to 219-6 in 20 overs. Add his bowling contribution and he is surely the Player of the Match for me in this game. Livingstone was ably supported by captain Dane Vilas 34 off 22 balls with 3 fours and a six. Tim David contributed with a cameo of 22 off 14 balls with four boundaries to his name. Steven Croft chipped in with a whirlwind cameo of 28 runs off 10 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes to his name. 6 extras contributed as Lancashire ended with 219 runs on the board.

There was nothing much to ride home about for the Derbyshire bowlers. Scrimshaw was the pick of the bowlers with his 3-wicket haul but he went for 45 runs in his 4 overs. A wicket for Hayden Kerr who also went for 45 in 4 overs. Mark Watt the Scottish spinner went wicketless and had 39 runs given in his 4 overs. Samuel Conners was taken to the cleaners as he bled 56 runs in 4 overs with one wicket to his kitty. McKiernan kept it relatively tight especially his final over yielding four runs and a wicket as he gave away only 34 runs alongside a wicket in a 219 game was excellent from the spinner. Only five bowlers were used by the skipper Shan Masood and it was a tough day at the office for the bowlers. The batters tried their level best but 220 was a bridge too far.

So, Lancashire Lightning gets to the top of the North Group Points Table while the Derbyshire Falcons now have two wins and two losses against their name after four games. Interesting and exciting times are ahead in this T20 Blast.
That's it, Lancashire won by 17 runs.

2 Last ball of the game. Length ball here onto the pitch, Plooy smashes it down the ground towards long-on as they come back for a couple of runs to end the over and the game. 12 runs and a wicket off the over. That's the end of the game as the hosts Lancashire wins the game by 17 runs to continue their dream run in this tournament.
19.5 L Wood to M Mckiernan
1 Around the wicket here, Mckiernan pulls it away to deep midwicket for a single to bring up the 200 for Derbyshire.
19.4 L Wood to M Mckiernan
4 Fuller and wide, Mckiernan drives it through the covers along the ground for a boundary. A bit too late in the day.
19.3 L Wood to B Guest
W That's the game as Wood gets Guest. Length ball and in the slot, he gets the height and not the distance as the catch is taken by Liam Livingstone at the deep. Guest departs for 35 off 18 balls as the 5th one goes for 195 here.
19.2 L Wood to B Guest
4lb FOUR! Leg byes here.  Bowls on the pads, Guest clips it away through the fine leg for a boundary. It actually misses his bat and hits his pads for a leg bye.
19.1 L Wood to Plooy
1 Last over of the game here. Full delivery here, Plooy drills it to mid-on for a single.

18.5 R Gleeson to B Guest
1 Bowls it at the length, Gues tries to swing and gets it to the toe end of the bat to David at the 30-yard circle for just a single.
18.4 R Gleeson to Plooy
1 Fuller and on the pads as they run through for a leg bye.
18.3 R Gleeson to Plooy
0 That's a lovely ball in between the leg stump and him and it's another dot ball here.
18.2 R Gleeson to Plooy
0 Charges him here, Gleeson changes his length and it goes over his keeper.
