NIKHIL: Well, we are done here at Nottinghamshire as they get defeated by Lancashire here by 88 runs as they fall down to chase a target of 179 in 20 overs.

The Lancashire team started off brilliantly as they scored 56 in the powerplay. And added 122 runs more in the next 14 overs. Jennings was the stand-out batter for them as he scored 55 whereas everyone else chipped in with a few but no one could capitalize on the start they got. Fletcher, Ball, and Paterson all chipped in with a couple of wickets.

Nottinghamshire's innings never got going as they collapsed from the start itself as they lost half of their team in the powerplay itself at a score of 34. Gleeson took 2 wickets in the same over followed by a run out of Mullaney in the 2nd over itself. Nobody got going for the hosts as they managed to score just 91 runs here that too while struggling on the pitch which was a helpful track for the batters. Livingstone joined the party and came out on top with 3 wickets to his name.

The Lancashire team scored 178 here with the help of a well-made half-century by Jennings and cameos by other batters too. While Nottinghamshire's innings never got going as they got bundled out for just 91 and they are defeated by 88 runs.
