Well that's all for today folks! Manchester Originals with a fabulous win and they go onto face the London Spirit in the Elimination! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak, and our scorer/analyst Chandan! See you on the next one!
Josh Little (Player of the match): I was a bit nervous watching the last 30 minutes, but yeah, overall pleased with how things went for our side. Delighted to be a part of the unit. Enjoying every minute of it. Credit to the boys (Winning 5 out of the 5). My plan was to keep it simple and make them hit the long side. Had the fieldset accordingly. He (Walter) was always going to come into a bat due to the left hand-right hand giving us access to the shorter boundary at both ends. Under pressure to perform the way he (Madsen) did, I'm really happy for him."

MANCHESTER ORIGINALS HAVE SEALED AN ELIMINATOR SPOT IN THE HUNDRED MEN’S 2022! They defeat a valiant Oval Invincibles on the day by 6 wickets!

The Invincibles batted first and had a nightmarish start to their innings. Gleeson and Little ran through their top order for a combined 23 runs leaving them reeling at 23/3 after 18 deliveries. Skipper Sam Billings took matters into his own hands as he smashed an entertaining 53 runs off 33 balls and cameos by Sam Curran and Tom Curran ensured the Invincibles crossed the 140 run-mark and put up a competitive total for the Originals to chase.

Joshua Little registered the best ever figures in The Hundred’s history as he picked up 5/13 from his 20 deliveries.

Come the chase, Phil Salt got his team off to a fast start before perishing for 19 runs from 14 balls after losing his skipper for a paltry score of 9 runs. Wayne Madsen ensured the Originals did not lose their way, as he stayed on until the end to score 53 runs off 39 balls while wickets kept tumbling around him at regular intervals.

However, the Oval Invincibles made things very tough for the Originals in the back end of the chase, as the Originals needed 11 runs off the last set. But cometh the hour, cometh the man, Paul Walter with his iffy shoulder stepped up to ensure his team crossed the finish line and knocked the Invincibles out of the tournament!

Danny Briggs was the pick of the bowlers for the Invincibles as he picked up 2/22 from his 20 deliveries.

Manchester Originals will be ecstatic with this fantastic win as they stay live to fight another day! As for Oval Invincibles, they had an excellent tournament but fail to make it to the knock out stages.
