Thank you for joining us at the live coverage for the 22nd game of The Hundred between Welsh Fire and Southern Brave, this was Vatsal Negandhi alongside Akshaya Krishna Polya and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned as we join you with other fixtures across the globe until then take care and stay safe!!

George Garton(Hero of the Match): "We made most of the conditions. Not normal to have such good bowling conditions. Had to go off since long covid got me off today. Focussed on accuracy more than swing. Different bowling attack from the last year. Tonight it came off. We love Stirling both on and off the field. He showed how good he is. Take every game as it comes. Every game is a must-win. We were in this position last year as well".
Vatsal: A COMMANDING WIN here for the Southern Brave as they beat the Welsh Fire by 9 wickets at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

The Welsh Fire, putting into bat first got off a terrible start as they lost 3 wickets in the first 7 balls losing three players for a duck. Joe Clarke and David Miller steadied the innings for a while before Miller went for 15. Joe Clarke was involved in a terrible mix-up as he was Run-out for 17. L du Plooy and M Critchley stitched up a good partnership as they played some fabulous shots to get the Welsh side to a competitive total. Du Plooy was dismissed for 37 off 25 and Critchley ended with an unbeaten 32 off just 19. Pretorius came in and hit some lusty blows to score 15 off just 7 and get their team to 129 for the loss of 8 wickets in 100 balls.

The Southern Brave bowling was excellent throughout. G Garton set the tone with 3 for 7 in his 15 balls. J Fuller got 2-31 in his 20 balls. Lintott and Hogan got a wicket a piece. Lintott was economically and Hogan got some tapping at the end.

Chasing 130 to win, the Brave batters got off to a brilliant start with Stirling and de Kock who put on 121 in just 78 balls before De Kock was dismissed for 37. The Star of the show was Paul Stirling who played a match-winning knock of 74* off just 42 balls as he dominated the Welsh bowling and played some amazing shots all-round the park. T David came in and completed the formalities with an unbeaten 10 off just 3 balls to chase down 130 with ease.

The Welsh bowling was poor and lacked a wicket-taking bowler. Pretorius picked up the solitary wicket as they were beaten today by the better side on the park. Welsh Fire remain winless in this edition so far and will be looking to get some wins in their upcoming games.
