This is it from the live coverage of the second game of THE HUNDRED, as we conclude this game with London Spirits winning it by 3 runs. That’s it for today from myself Nikhil Kalla alongside my co-commentators Tugral with our scorer/analyst Paras. See you soon again with more games to follow till then stay safe.

Nathan Ellis (Hero of the Match): "Today was a good day for us and won by a margin of run even in such a big target. I greatly benefited from the pitch becoming somewhat slower and from bowling in the appropriate places, which brought me success. Even though I've only known Morgan for three days, I'm already amazed at how well he manages the team. We have had a good start in this edition and will try to maintain the same form in the next edition."
Tugral: So, we are done here with London Spirit winning the game by 3 runs, as they restricted Oval Invincibles to a total of 168 while chasing down a total of 171 which proved to be a bit too much for the Oval Invincibles.

Oval Invincibles won the toss and decided to bowl first, that decision did not appear to be going in their favor. When the Oval openers came to the crease to chase a big target of 171 runs, they were already under pressure, due to which they lost the wickets of four batters of their top order within just 12 runs. Jordan Cox and Hilton Cartwright try to handle the Oval Invincibles's sinking innings. Both needed some time to get ready and recognize the pitch, but once they were set, they both immediately began to bat vigorously. Cox and Cartwright put on an impressive 74-run partnership for the fifth wicket and put the team in a position that could have changed the course of the match.

Crane gave London Spirit the important breakthrough in his over, he uprooted Cartwright's (42 off 23) stumpsJordan Cox (39 off 30) lost her wicket shortly after Cartwright was dismissed due to a poor shot. Tom Curran played a cameo inning, hit 27 in 15 balls, and brought the team closer to the target. Briggs played the innings that changed the course of the match, he scored an unbeaten 29 runs in a very aggressive manner in the last. However, Spirit London prevailed in the end and prevailed by a score of 3 runs.

However, from the bowling side, after London Spirit got the first breakthrough, they did not give the Oval Invincibles team any chance to return to the match. Nathan Ellis was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. He was the pick of the bowlers for London Spirit. He took three wickets and gave away 28 runs in his 20 balls. Jordan Thompson also picks up a couple of wickets. Dawson and Crane took one wicket each. London Spirit have made a good start in their opening game in the Hundred edition and their fans will also want them to continue this performance.
