That's it from our coverage of match number 20 of the Women's Hundred competition. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Kate Cross: "We were probably ten-fifteen runs away from par. We had a good chance of defending it. We are waiting for that big score from Lizelle and she looks very close from getting one. She's the aggressor at the top and allows others to bat around her. Hannah has played for Lancashire and is the controller. We just wanted to target the stumps and restrict the scoring options. We all are at our best when we enjoy our cricket. We have dominated against other teams but still have found ourselves at the losing end. Sophie is really world's number one and I hope I can get more than 20 balls from her. We actually didn't know that Deandra was going it was only when she was here that we knew that she has to go for the CPL. She's a dynamite in the field and really thankful to Erin Burns as she hasn't let the balance to get affected. We know we weren't too far from being par. We are a gritty team and that comes with the whole Manchester Originals package. They were clever with the way they bowled protecting the shorter boundaries from the spinners. I wanted to be a positive captain to be able to kill games when possible. I was a bit negative today."
Sophie Ecclestone | Hero of the Match: "A great afternoon, I'm happy to have contributed to the win. The total was a hard work, the slower ball was a massive key today for the spinners. We knew our plan as soon as we went out, keep the pace off and the results will come. We have got nothing to lose, if we get through we get through. We're really close as a team, we get on very well, it's great to go out and win with this group."
A thrilling finish here at Edgbaston as the Originals take the victory by 18 runs. The chase began on a very wrong note for the Phoenix as they lost three early wickets and were struggling at 22 for the loss of five wickets.

The top five batters were dismissed in single figures. Georgia Elwiss (32 off 25) and Issy Wong (24 off 26) took the Phoenix close with a 46 run partnership for the sixth wicket. Emily Arlott hung around till the end keeping the target in sight until the last set of five but two back to back wickets from Sophie Ecclestone ensured Manchester Originals got home safely.

Ecclestone was the star with the ball picking up three wickets for just eight runs and bowled 13 dots in her spell. Kate Cross was brilliant and picked up a couple of wickets alongside Hannah Jones. Phoebe Graham and Erin Burns bowled tidy spells and picked up a wicket apiece.

The Originals now have 4 points and are placed at number 5 in the points table keeping themselves alive in the competition. Stay tuned as we come back with the post match coverage.
