That's all from the live ball-to-ball coverage of the first ICC U19 World Cup Quarterfinals between England and South Africa, congratulations to the English side for making it into the semi-finals. Thanks for joining us today, stay tuned as we bring you the lives updates on games from all across the globe. This is Saurabh Saket signing off, alongside my fellow co-commentators Ovaise and Sourabh Kumar. Until then take care, stay safe and enjoy cricket from all around the world.
Jacob Bethell (Player of the Match): I didn't expect to go and see the ball like that but after the first couple of overs I was like 'I might as well carry on'. While chasing, you want to get off to a good start, you have to be nice and positive but I didn't really think I was going to go there and do that but I saw the ball nicely and just carried on. When you see it well, all your movements. They just happen. I wasn't really thinking about much other than watching the ball, that's what happens when you bat well.
George Van Heerden (Captain South Africa): I think the English came out and played amazing cricket. They played brilliantly. We started nicely but then lost far too many wickets in the middle. Sadly couldn't capitalize on the overs at the end. We were at least 30-40 short. Of course in a quarterfinal with runs on the board, you do back yourselves, but England were simply brilliant.
Tom Prest (Captain England)We started really well with the ball again. To knock those runs away the way we did was really special. Brevis is obviously a special player and to get out when he did, was a crucial wicket for us. Rehan has done really well with the ball and although we didn't see him with the bat today, he'll be keen to do that as well. Jacob is a very talented player for us. If we got 60 off the power play, we would have been happy but to get 100, can't ask more from the openers.
England have cruised past the South African side in the first quarterfinals of the ICC U19 World Cup securing a spot in the semifinals outmaneuvering their opponents in both the batting and bowling fronts.

The English quicks gave their side a fairy tale start in the first innings restricting the South African batting order to just 209 runs in 43.4 overs courtesy of a stunning 97 runs off 88 balls by Dewald Brevis who played the anchor innings for his side tonight. None of the other Proteas' batter were able to fend off against the disciplined English bowling unit. Rehan Ahmed was the leading wicket taker in the first innings as the young spinner picked up four wickets for 48 runs in his ten overs. Josh Boyden and James Sales picked up two wickets each while Jacob Bethell picked up 1 for his side.

Jacob Bethell gave England a stunning start during the chase as he laid out the foundation in the first ten overs. The young British left-hander reached his fifty in just 20 balls, scoring the fastest fifty of the tournament this year. The opener carved a path for his side as he scored 88 runs off 42 balls to put England in a dominant position in the game.

South Africa tried to fire back with a couple of wickets as Dewald Brevis picked up two wickets for his side, but it was too late as the damage had already been done and William Luxton played an amazing cameo innings in the end scoring 47 runs off 41 deliveries to finish the game off in style with a maximum over mid-wicket!
