This is it from this game as we close the day here. A big thank you from myself Nikhil Kalla and my co-commentator Ajay Ahire alongside our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer for tuning in. See you soon with the next set of games till then take care and enjoy your time.

NIKHIL: What a game of cricket we’ve had here as more than 400 runs were scored this afternoon and this wicket played as the batter’s paradise. In the first innings, Northamptonshire batter enjoyed batting at this venue by posting a mammoth total of 224 for the Durham batters to chase who managed to score at a blistering pace from the first over itself as they managed to score 192 before getting all out.

Lynn and Curran were the standout performers with the bat for the Northamptonshire team with the bat as they managed to score 144 for the first wicket partnership whereas Heldreich was their standout bowler tonight taking the crucial wicket of Clark and 2 others when he was scoring at some pace. Turner came into the bowl as a replacement to Raine and he stopped the onslaught on them with a couple of quick-fire wickets including the wicket of Curran who looked dangerous and Clark and Jones were the ones who performed well with the bat. The injury to Turner turned this game in the favor of Northamptonshire followed by a decent bowling display from Heldreich.

Congratulations to the Northamptonshire team who gets their first points on board here with a victory against Durham. This was an entertaining game here and the pitch curator needs to be Lauded for creating a pitch of this sort for a T-20 game.
