5:58 PM IST | So with this, Pakistan still holds the chance for qualification for the semi-finals. There are calculations to look at, but the Babar Azam-led side has chances. With this win, Pakistan have won 4 out of their 4 games, they have played against South Africa in T20 World Cup.

So, this is me, Arijit Kundu signing off alongside co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned to our network for all the other upcoming matches.
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Very happy with the way how the team performed. Me and Rizwan weren't in the good form, but the way Haris played he shifted the match. The way Shadab played it was outstanding and he shifted the momentum for us.

To be honest, everyone is my best player and everyone is ready to play. Everyone is the match winner, everyone is my best player and everyone is ready to play in the XI. To be honest, the first two matches we lost, that costs us. I think the way we have played in the last two matches, we have the momentum with us."
Temba Bavuma (South Africa Captain): "Yeah, definitely, it was quite disappointing. Once we reduced them to 5 down for 93, we needed to close the game off. We didn't bowl well in the last few overs, and that cost us the game. We gave the sniff away, and we missed the opportunity here. And when we came to bat, the momentum was with them with the way they finished. We couldn't cope with it. We won't give any excuses, but with the ball getting wet and slipping from the bowler's hand, it was a difficult playing condition for them to handle. But they do practice with these wet balls, but you can't execute every day. Though I am not a bowler, I know how difficult it is to control them. We have Netherlands up next. The equation is simple we need to win that one. We need to put this loss back, and shouldn't be much involving thinking off it."
Shadab Khan (Player of the Match): "Ahh! I have done this in PSL, maybe. But this is an international game, and hence this is the best one. The pitch is a good one. But has been on the slower side compared to Perth. Talking about the bowling, I bowled a bit slower through the air and hit my spot. The pitch had a bit of spin as well. I am happy to bat anywhere. I would bat where the captain asked me to bat. It depends on the situation, and I am happy to contribute to the team."
5:42 PM IST | A proper team effort from the Pakistan side has assisted them to pull off another victory. The mini-winning streak of South Africa comes to an πŸ”š and the Proteas side still hasn’t booked their tickets for the knockouts. The rainβ˜”οΈ once again plays a part in obtrusion and makes the chase difficult for a David Miller-void South African lineup.

PAKISTAN is yet to lose against SOUTH AFRICA in the history of T20 World Cup.🀫

Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bat first. They did lose a couple of wickets early and the top order failed to live up to the expectations. South Africa was brilliant in the powerplay except that Mohammad Haris took on them for a while. Pakistan were 43-4 after 6.3 overs and Mohammed Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed counter-attacked from then. Both of them stuck 52 runs together and then it was Shadab Khan who was blazing all guns out as soon as he stepped foot on the ground. Both Iftikhar and Shadab Khan tore apart the bowlers.

From Tabraiz Shamsi to Lungi Ngidi and from Anrich Nortje to Wayne Parnell, all of them were taken away for a tour around the park. The rain had arrived ahead of the last two overs and the fielders found it difficult to catch the ball in the air. Some late wickets were extracted by the Proteas bowlers and they ended up offering 185 runs to Pakistan at the end of 20 overs. Anrich Nortje starred with 4 wickets and all other bowlers could bag a solitary. For Pakistan, both Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed notched up a vital half-century.

Coming for the chase, South Africa lost Quinton de Kock for a duck πŸ¦† and Rilee Rossow for 7 of 6 balls. Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram played some gracious shots against the pacers and were finding the boundaries on regular basis. Soon, Shadab Khan was introduced after the 7th over and he sent back both the set batters, Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram within the first three balls of his first over. The rain interrupted and South Africa was on 69-4 after 9 overs.

With the match curtailed to 14 overs per side, South Africa needed 73 runs from 5 overs. Heinrich Klaasen and Tristan Stubbs had no other options except to go all out against the Pakistan attack. The risk was always there when playing the big shots and Heinrich Klaasen found himself in despair due to it. On the back of some sensational slog over bowling, Pakistan have managed to pull the ball in their court. Mohammed Wasim Jr and Naseem Shah were tremendous in the 12th and 13th over, scalping important wickets, and the latter fetched five dot balls on trot. South Africa crumbled to 108 runs and lost 9 wickets at the end of 14 overs. Henceforth, Pakistan emerged victorious by a margin of 33 runs (DLS method).

Stay tuned for the presentations!

4 FOURRR!! Ngidi gets a boundary as they end up on the losing side. Fuller length outside the off. Ngidi goes for a powerful hit as he clears his front leg. Gets it off the outside half of the bat. Up and over extra covers for a boundary despite the chase and slide from Shadab Khan. PAK won by 33 runs (DLS METHOD)!
13.5 H Rauf to T Shamsi
1 Good length on the off. The bat turns in his hand as Shamsi mistimes a punch down to mid-off for a quick single.

W WICKETT!! In the air and has been taken at deep mid-wicket. Length ball on the off and middle stump. A slower off-cutter from spearhead, and Nortje goes for a big heave as he sits low on this one. Doesn't connect it from the middle of the bat as he miscues it completely. Mohammad Haris there at deep mid-wicket takes a good catch.
13.3 H Rauf to A Nortje
0 Short and outside the off. Nortje backs away but misses the upper cut.

The third umpire, Paul Wilson has been referred for a runout chance. Rabada has fallen short of making the crease as witnessed on the big screen. OUT is the final decision.
13.2 H Rauf to A Nortje
1W Fuller on the leg stump. Nortje backs away and drives it down to the right of the deep covers fielder. While they complete a single, Nortje calls Rabada for a risky second run. The throw from the deep has been collected by the bowler, who whips the bails off in a flash. The third umpire replay says that Rabada, despite the drag of his bat, is short of his ground. Pakistan inch closer to the victory as South Africa lose their 8th wicket.
13.1 H Rauf to K Rabada
1 Fuller length outside the off. Rabada clears his front leg and drives it to extra covers for a single.
