So, that's it from this game. Bangladesh won a thriller by 3 runs to boost their chances as far as qualification for the semi-finals is concerned. Heartbreak for Zimbabwe. Switch tabs to catch the remaining two games from Perth as the Netherlands takes on Pakistan currently followed by the big one India up against South Africa. Stay tuned for other cricketing action across the globe in other formats.

For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
Taskin Ahmed | Player of the Match: "Haha, actually, we were nervous in the middle. After knowing that we haven't won after the celebrations, we came back to the ground and did well to win this one. Overall, a good match to be part of. No, no, we didn't enjoy that moment (No ball off the last ball). Yes, I am happy with my performance. It has been a great journey. Yeah, we have a good group of players. In Asia back home, we don't have this kind of bouncy surface. We bowl at slow and low tracks. He (Donald) is a great coach, and he shares his experiences with us. He has been a great guy to learn from. Along with him, all other support staff have been magnificent. I have enjoyed the day, and the team has done well."
Chasing a stiff target of 151 for the win, Zimbabwe were blown away inside the powerplay. They lost their top order inside the powerplay including Sikander Raza for a duck. Regis Chakabva scored 15 runs. But it was Sean Williams who held the innings together with his brilliant 64 off 42 balls. He was taking the game away from Bangladesh before the Bangladeshi skipper took matters into his own hands to run him out.

Ryan Burl remained unbeaten on 27* off 25 balls but he was off strike after the first ball of the final over. Zimbabwe were dead and buried, but they did well to come back in the contest and almost win the game in the end. But it was not to be. They fell 3 runs short to finish with 147/8 with 13 extras that were given by the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Taskin Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh as he had unbelievable figures of 3/19 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Mustafizur Rahman as he was impressive in his 2/15 off 4 overs. A couple of wickets for Mosaddek Hossain as he bowled the crucial final over and held his nerve. They should have won this a lot easier, but they made heavy weather of it.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh lost Soumya Sarkar for a duck after opting to bat first. But it was Nazmul Hossain Shanto’s 71 off 55 balls that held the innings together as he battled a hamstring injury as well. Litton Das gave his wicket away when was on 14. Crucial contributions from skipper Shakib Al Hasan (23 off 20 balls), and Afif Hossain (29 off 19 balls) alongside 4 extras given by the Zimbabwean bowlers took the score to 150/7 after 20 overs.

Zimbabwe had a mixed day in the field. Blessing Muzarabani was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2 wickets for 13 runs in 2 overs. It was baffling to see that he was not given his full quota of 4 overs. Richard Ngarava picked up a couple of wickets in his 2/24 off 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Sikandar Raza, and Sean Williams. They dropped a few costly catches and their ground fielding was quite average, to say the least. It came back to bite them in the end as they lost by the barest of margins.

So, a win for Bangladesh by 3 runs over Zimbabwe as they go second in the points table. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony that comes your way soon.

What a game we have had here at The Gabba as Bangladesh wins this by 3 runs to collect two important points. Zimbabwe nearly snatched it in the end but it was not to be.

0 Muted celebrations this time! Fires it in on a length and outside the off. Muzarabani misses an across-the-line heave. Bangladesh win and the blunder doesn't cost them!
4 runs needed from 1 ball.
Arijit: Could you believe it!! What is it happening, it's a no-ball as the keeper has grasped the ball in front of the line of the wickets.
Bangladesh picks up the win as Mosaddek has done it here. We are checking for a possible stumping and Muzarabani is out here. Oh, dear! The keeper has collected the ball in front of him and it's a free hit now.
19.6 M Hossain to B Muzarabani
NB Fires it short and angles it away outside the off. Muzarabani comes down the track and tries to heave it. Misses it completely and the keeper whips the bails off. Appeals and celebrates as Bangladesh win this nailbiter. Hang on! Third umpire checks and that is a blunder. No ball as Nurul had his gloves infront of the stumps while collecting it. Bangladesh and their early celebrations!🌚

This is a clear stumping, but the umpires have gone upstairs. Replays show he is clearly OUT.
19.5 M Hossain to R Ngarava
W WICKETTTTT!! Ngarava comes down the track for a big swing and ends up watching the bails get clipped by the wicketkeeper. 5 runs needed of 1 ball now and here's a topsy-turvy turn in the contest. Ngarava misses on the elevation and gets stumped.
It's gone for SIX! Ngarava you beauty! Is he going to steal it for Zimbabwe?
19.4 M Hossain to R Ngarava
6 SIXXXXX!! Goodness me!! Oh wait! Down the leg stump, on a good length and the left hander opens the stance, switches towards the inturner, and swivels it over the deep backward square leg region for a six.
19.3 M Hossain to R Ngarava
4lb FOURR LEG BYESS!! Good length fired into the middle stump. Ngarava tries to slog but misses it on to the thigh pads. It deflects off the thighs to go over the keeper for a four leg byes.
