So the Australian camp ends things with smiles and Sri Lanka has received a defeat after a hattrick of wins in the tournament. It's Arijit Kundu signing off alongside co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. stay tuned to all other coverages from us. Until then, stay safe, Happy Diwali to everyone in India, and adios.
Aaron Finch | Australia Captain: "Yeah great to win, Probably happier. I just couldn't hit the ball, but Stoinis was good. We were good with the bat but could have done better with the ball. The ball wasn't nipping at the end but we could have restricted them for a little low.

They
were bowling at the hard length and it was getting tough for me to bat. But that's not an excuse. When you walk out to bat and have that intent, that is incredible [on Marcus Stoinis]. When you come out to bat and have the presence in the field, that's half the battle won. Yeah, it is always a great event, and we are looking forward to it."
Dasun Shanaka | Sri Lanka Captain: "Yeah, see, we started well and finished well, but we lost the momentum in the middle overs. So, we were short of a few runs. Our fast bowlers had a few problems, and they have a tough time here in Australia. They are having a few fitness issues, and we have been unfortunate to lose them. There was some spongy bounce on offer and a bit of seam movement earlier. Their openers, too, struggled, but it was the latter part of the innings where they sneak past us. I would say 5-4 in terms of the mark given if you compare both of us."
Marcus Stoinis | Player of the Match: "Yeah, I have sent to take over against the pacers and if I get settled, then take on the spinners. Yeah, the plan was simple, to play accordingly. I have a lot of friends and fans here in Perth, and I was a bit nervous about playing here. I am back after some side strain issue. So, it was needed. This is one of the most beautiful grounds in Australia and in the world as well. I love playing here. We played here against England a few days ago. Then it was a beautiful batting wicket. Tonight it was again the same. We have a flight tomorrow. We will come again hard in the next game as we play England in the MCG."
Earlier in the game, Australian skipper, Aaron Finch had won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost Kusal Mendis early and it was Pat Cummins with the numbers under the wicket's column.

Pathum Nissanka and Dhananjaya de Silva nurdled around and kept the scoreboard ticking. They glued 69 runs together and later a couple of wickets tumbled down. Asalanka scored 38 and remained unbeaten. He was scratchy in the end, but somehow with some fortunes propelled the scoreboard to 157-6 after 20 overs.

Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Agar, and Glenn Maxwell had picked solitary wickets.
Some huge flurries after the powerplay from Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell and seemed like they took their NRR quite seriously. Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh, and the Hulk aka. Stoinis seemed to have had the intention to target Sri Lanka's premium bowler, Wanindu Hasaranga.

Australia have won with 7 wickets and 21 balls to spare. The mystery spinner gave away 53 runs of his 3 overs and was torn apart by Australia today. Marcus Stoinis has been the X Factor for the home side today and was unbridled on 59 of 18 balls with a strike rate of 327.78.

Australia lost David Warner inside the powerplay and Aaron Finch was the one was looking quite raspy but somehow hung around till the end. Despite being economical in the initial half, Maheesh Theekshana got the spanking in the hands of Stoinis at the fag end.

Mitch Marsh, Glenn Maxwell looked a bit aggressive in their approach but could score in brisks. Stoinis the Finisher oozed out at Perth today and made sure that Australia goes past the finishing line with improvement in the net run rate.

Lahiru Kumara was the only bowler who glittered for Sri Lanka, and had rushed the Aussie batters. Chamika Karunaratne was also a bit economical and grabbed a wicket.
16.3 L Kumara to A Finch
2 That is it. Finch finishes it off as they win by 7 wickets. Fuller length and outside the off. Finch goes for a lofted drive. But gets it off the outside half of the bat. In the air and has enough to over mid-off fielder for a couple.
16.3 L Kumara to M Stoinis
1wd WIDE! Short and angles it down the leg. Stoinis leaves it alone and wide signalled. By the time Kusal collects it, they scamper through for a bye.
16.2 L Kumara to M Stoinis
6 SIXXX!! The showman, Marcus Stoinis! A leg cutter back of a length on the leg stump. Stoinis moves to the leg side and clubs this one of the middle of the bat and it goes deep in the crowds at deep mid-wicket.
