That is it from this fixture. West Indies, tata bye-bye. Ireland will be playing in the Super 12's. Now onto the next match between Scotland and Zimbabwe. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this thrilling game. We will be meeting in the next match. Until then, it is cheers!
Andrew Balbirnie (Ireland Captain): "Losing the first game and coming back to win and go to the super 12s has been brilliant. You don't know what can happen in T20. You can play three games here and then a few in other venues. Anything can happen but we will be looking to challenge the best in the world,s. Paul made it easy for me, to play my game. The way Lorcan came and played his free game was good. Everything was superb for us. Thank you!!"
Nicholas Pooran (West Indies captain): "It's tough, ah!! we haven't batted well at all in the tournament. When you have just 146 in the surface it gets difficult, Congratulations to Ireland for playing well. King batted brilliantly and Alzarri Joseph has been good as well but our overall performance hasn't been well.

We have been disappointing, we have been disappointing. I have disappointed our fans at our home, to us"
Gareth Delany | Player of the Match: "Yeah, it is an incredible day for us in cricket. This time last year, we were sitting in the dressing room with our heads down. The spin bowling coach, Nathan Harris, couldn't really come here due to some personal issues. But he has shared a lot with us. Yeah, it was a great performance. Yeah, obviously, in the last game, it was Curtis Campher who took us through. We are feeling great confidence. Thank you."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
12:44 PM ISTIreland make it through to the Super 12’s. They have beaten the mighty West Indies in a virtual knock-out. The two-time world champions had dipped their shoulders as they bowed out of the tournament for the first time since its inauguration. A humiliating 9-wicket defeat for the men from the Caribbeans!

Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie destroyed the Windies bowling lineup with some ball striking. Both were magnificent with their strokeplay and stitched a partnership of 73 runs for the first wicket in no time. Balbirnie (37 off 23) was the only one to go, thanks to Akeal Hosein for avoiding the embarrassment.

Lorcan Tucker came in at number three and joined the hands together with Stirling to do the job done and dusted in the 18th over. Stirling (66* off 48) smashed his 50th half-century in the T20s and didn’t stop before crossing the finishing line. On the other hand, Tucker (45* off 35) scored winning runs as they chased down 147 runs with 15 balls remaining.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss in a do-or-die clash and opted to bat first. The poor run of form from Kyle Mayers continued yet again as he holed out at wide long-off in the third over. On the other hand, his partner Johnson Charles was smashing a few boundaries for a 18-ball 24. But his stay was short as he was taken care of by Simi Singh in the fifth over.

Evin Lewis struggled during his stay of 18-ball 13 but added a good 44 runs partnership for the third wicket alongside Brandon King. King was the only one who was finding some timing against the Irish bowlers.

King went on to remain unbeaten at 62 off 48 deliveries. Amidst the chaos, Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell were taken care of by the fielder/bowler duo of Harry Tector/Gareth Delany.

Though Odean Smith wasn’t able to connect in the early part of his innings, he did smoke a couple of lusty blows to propel the team to 146/5 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Ireland, Gareth Delany was the successful bowler with three wickets to his name. Simi Singh and Barry McCarthy scalped a wicket each.

Stay tuned for the presentations!
17.3 O McCoy to L Tucker
4 FOURRRRRR!!! Not first, but twice in the tournament, West Indies have been at the receiving end of humiliating defeats. Full and near the 4th stump, Tucker ships down the wicket and inside outs it over the extra cover region for a glorious boundary. This has been a valiant effort from the Irish guys, and they are in, for the Super 12s. Bow down before the Irish Giants!!
17.2 O McCoy to P Stirling
1 Fuller and outside the off and the batter drives it away from the body, uppishly towards sweeper cover. Just one more run required for Ireland to finish things off.
17.1 O McCoy to P Stirling
0 Uppish and at the woods, and Stirling defenses it softly.
2 runs needed from 18 balls now. Only 4 runs came of the last over from Holder.

16.5 J Holder to P Stirling
0 A disguised slower one, sprayed wide outside the off and the batter slices and misses.
16.4 J Holder to P Stirling
0 Full and at the woods and Stirling turns this towards the short mid wicket region.
