Giants have a task on their hand now, they take on the Indian Maharajas, who are coming off a victory a one day rest. We will be there for that contest as well bringing you all the live updates and actions. Until that time this was Anmol Ahuja along with my fellow commentator Ajay Ahire.
Misbah Ul Haq: "I am happy that we pulled off a brilliant chase here. The wicket is very good to bat on and the key is to keep the wickets in hand and we did that. The chasing is becoming really easy now as we are seeing now that it is becoming a template nowadays. Happy with the win and looking forward to the upcoming games."
Upul Tharanga(Legend of the game): "Great game feels good to chase down 204. It is easier to chase down the total rather than fielding second. I am playing domestic cricket so that's really helping here."
Darren Sammy: "yes it's great to be here. We tried our best but can't cross the finish line here. They played really well and they deserve the victory. We will look to come back stronger in the next game."
Finishes the match in style and Lions earn a hard fought victory. Asar Afghan combines with Misbah-ul-Haq to guide their team to a win. The foundation was this win was laid by Dilshan and Tharanga. The former carried the attack from the opposition from ball one and ensured that the RR didn't go out of reach.
After his departure Tharanga carried the innings forward and it looked like the Giants would sail through. This was before Tahir connected with a direct hit and sent the Sri-Lankan packing. With 54 still required of the final four overs, it was Hafeez, Afghan and Misbah who held their nerves and finished the game for their side.
Eight bowlers used by Sammy but no one looked threatening enough. Morne Morkel was good though, picking up two wickets but he went over nine runs per over as well. Over 400 runs scored today and we got a contest that went right down until the 39th over, not much we can ask.
