Afif Hossain (Chattogram Challengers Captain): We really played some good cricket today, it's good to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament. We made some good runs in the first innings. Mehidy Hasan was not a planned man to bowl the final over for us but he can do the job and he did an excellent job with the ball. We hope we can win over next encounter as well until then we will celebrate our victory.
Chadwick Walton | Player of the Match: Really appreciative of the partnership (with Mehidy). It is unfortunate to see a player like Fletcher leave the tournament after such a knock. It is a very good pitch as you can see with the scores from both teams. You just have to spend some time in the middle and it gets easier. Today we just needed to bat deep and I was able to do that.
Khulna Tigers Captain, Mushfiqur Rahim: "I thought when they were 4 down, we gave away easy balls to get them going. Its not easy to chase such a big score, we could have restricted them to around 165. We had a chance with the bat like you said but it didn't happen. Every over you needed a boundary but unfortunately I got out in the crucial moment. Rabbi played well and Fletcher tried his best. We wish the Chattogram Challengers the best for the next game."

The Chattogram Challengers took on the Khulna Tigers in the 1st Eliminator of the Bagbandhu Bangladesh Premier League as the Chattogram side were able to overcome the challenging total of 190 as they managed to restrict their opponents to under 189. Khulna tried their best to chase down the designed score in the last over courtesy of a blistering knock from "Spiceman" Fletcher who played an unbeaten 80 but could not help his side past the finish line.
Khulna won the toss and opted to bowl first and had a few early wickets but were slapped around the park by Mehdi Hasan and Chadwick Walton who picked up the scoring rate in the death overs and helped their side put up 189 runs on the board.
The Challengers had a fiery start to the chase as they made some quick runs in the power play. However, the Tigers quickly put an end to the early fire with back to back wickets in the middle phase of the game.
However, Andre Fletcher had different ideas in his mind as he took charge and started to slap the bowlers all across the park to leave just 24 runs remaining in the last two overs. The game took a drastic turn as the Tigers needed 14 runs off the last but Mehdi Hasan had different ideas in his mind as they held his calm and restricted the Khulna side on just 182 as they were not able to get past the finish line.
