Mitch Marsh|Player of the match: "Yeah it's been good fun playing the cricket. it's better to play than run in the ashes and carry the drinks. We are prime for the finals now, into it now, we'll be playing for the finals. I thought it was the right time to take on the bowlers, yeah needed a bit of luck but was worth it. Yeah, I'm not sure where we gonna play, maybe in Perth. Yeah, you're more than welcome to come Abey."
Mitchell Marsh has been adjudged the Player of the Match award for his 59 off 34 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes and to chip in with 1 for 26 in 3 overs. A great all-around performance from him.
Perth Scorchers win the game by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare and finish the league proceedings with a win here at the Marvel Stadium. Never mind the Bash Boost Point as they get 3 points to finish with 41 points from 14 games. An Aaron Hardie six finishing things off in style.

It was the Mitchell Marsh show all the way as his 59 off 34 balls that powered this chase. He was ably supported by Kurtis Patterson 26 and Colin Munro 24 spending time in the middle. Josh Inglis contributed with his 18 at the top while the skipper Ashton Turner was unbeaten on 18 off 14 balls and Aaron Hardie finished it off with his 6 off 1 ball.

For the Heat bowlers, Mitchell Swepson was excellent with his 2 for 19 in 4 overs, troubled everyone in the Perth team including Mitchell Marsh. A wicket for Michael Nesser who was impressive and also a wicket for Kuhnemann as they were unable to stop the Marsh machine. The others went the distance as Marsh took a special liking to the fast bowlers especially Bazley.

Earlier in the game, a superlative 81 off 56 balls from Bryant went in vain as his effort could only muster 155-7 for the Heat. Lack of support from the other end meant they could not get the 170-180 they needed to challenge the Scorchers. Peirson was the only other batter who gave impetus to the innings with his 31 off 19 balls. Heazlett just about got to 10 and double figures.

For the Scorchers bowlers' Jason Behendroff was excellent in his 2 for 25 in 4 overs while Peter Hatzoglou was great as ever with his 2 for 17 in 4 overs Ashton Agar had economical figures with his 1 for 26 in 4 overs. Mitchell Marsh chipped in with a wicket in his 3 overs for 26. Lance Morris went for 21 in his 2 overs while Andrew Tye had a rare off day with his 37 runs in 3 overs and picked up only one wicket. A rare off day for Tye but he and Scorchers would not mind as they got the win in the end.

So, Perth gets their 11th win in 14 games and along with 8 Bash Boost Points in total will finish with 41 points. Brisbane Heat who are already eliminated will go back to the Gabba now with a Bash Boost Point to their name from this game. Heat plays the Sixers in their final game on Wednesday morning. Stay tuned to find out who won the Player of the Match award. It should not be a difficult decision for the adjudicators.
18.4 M Steketee to A Hardie
6 Short ball from the bowler and what a way to bring up the win for the Scorchers!! Hardie with his quick reflex pulls this over the deep square leg region and gets a maximum.
