So that's it from this mouth watering finale. Balochistan registering their first ever Domestic Cup Victory. It's an adieus from me AkshayaKrishna Polya who is signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and our Scorer/Analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers..!!!
Balochistan celebrates this win as they receive the Silverware. All smiles and they are posing for the pictures.
Yasir Shah | Man of the Match and Balochistan Skipper: "See firstly I want to thank almighty Allah. The team has worked really hard for this moment. The team has put their hundred percent efforts and this is why we have won the tournament. This win matters us the most. We don't have any titles in the 4-day competitions. We played in the finals of domestic T20 only once as well. We were playing the finals in the One Day competition and it was important to win this one for Balochistan Cricket. It is good for upcoming youngsters. It's good if we promote the Balochistan Cricket well. See in this tournament, youngsters like Haseebullah who topped the run scorers list while Bangalzai batted well today. And all these come from Balochistan. See our motto is to get as many as youngsters from Balochistan to play at the higher level. Many players are coming up in the ranks as well as including the Under-19s. I worked hard for the fitness through a camp in Pakistan. I am trying hard  and got an excellent opportunity to play in this One Day Competition."
Khalid Usman | Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Skipper: "Feeling a bit disappointed but it’s cricket. We lost wickets in the middle and there was a collapse in the middle. 250 would have been a winning score on this wicket. Credit to youngsters for stepping up and reaching the final after missing some of the players. Satisfied that the youngsters are coming into this squad and performing."

Haseebullah Khan | Player of the Tournament: "All thanks to Allah. Without him I am nothing. I am happy. Firstly thanks to the team management for the opportunity given to me. My family and my peoples supported me throughout this journey and  Allah's grace is also there. I want to play for Pakistan which is my dream from childhood. All thanks again to Allah and I will do good in the coming days."
Haseebullah is the Best Batsman of the tournament.
Yasir Shah is also the best bowler of the tournament.
Mohammad Haris wins the best wicket-keeper of the tournament award.
Yasir Shah is the Player of Match.
Akshaya: A complete performance from the Balochistan team earns them the much deserved silverware. A history has been created here at Multan. This is the first time they have won this Pakistan ODI Cup. They came on top with a 8-wickets victory against one of the successful teams in the tournament, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Right from the toss and till the last ball of the chase was bowled, almost everything went in the way of Yasir Shah and co. Balochistan won the toss and bowled first. Khyber didn’t start well as they lost an early wicket in the first over when Ashfaq Ahmed chopped on for a duck. But a great second wicket resistance from Mohsin Khan and Kamran Ghulam put the pressure back on the bowling side. A couple of dropped catches and missed run out opportunities didn’t help their cause either. Mohsin Khan struggled in his stay at the crease but Kamran Ghulam played some glorious back foot punches as he was the lone warrior for the batting side. He notched up a classy fifty in the process. Mohsin’s (21 off 45) wicket by the part-timer Asad Shafiq after a 58-run stand started the death rattle for the Khyber side. But then it was a complete decimation by Yasir Shah who ran through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s middle and lower-order. Kamran Ghulam was undone by a googly by the opponent skipper when he was batting at 70. There were a couple of 20’s by Adil Amin (20 off 24) and wicket keeper Rehan Afridi (27* off 38) amidst the collapse. They eventually skittled out for 171 in 46-overs. Yasir Shah’s figures read 10-2-33-4. Akif Javed and Khurram Shahzad picked up a couple of wickets each.

Chasing an easy total of 172-runs to win, Balochistan had a small hiccup when they lost their opener, Imran Butt (17 off 24) at the team score of 28. But then a match winning partnership from Haseebullah Khan and Abdul Bangalzai of 77-runs for the second wicket took the match away from the bowling side. Haseebullah was striking the ball well on the off side while Bangalzai was slog sweeping it well on the leg side. Runs were flowing on both sides of the wicket. The Khyber team's skipper tried various options but there was no big success for him. He even brought the spinners very early in the mix but they didn’t work him well enough to win the game. In the process Haseebullah became the top run getter of the tournament. He was the second victim for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s skipper, Khalid Usman who surpassed Yasir Shah in the top wicket taker’s list to stay at the top of the list. Haseebullah batted well for his 45 off 58 before he failed to clear the short fine leg fielder on the scoop. After his departure, experienced batter Asad Shafiq joined hands with Bangalzai to see his side home without any further damage. Bangalzai with a boundary over mid off got to his fifty. These two batters added an unbroken 70-runs for the third wicket as they took Balochistan to the victory line. Bangalzai was unbeaten on 80 off 77 while Shafiq was not out on 21 off 33 as they celebrated their victory. Apart from Khalid Usman who took a couple of wickets in the defense no one came close of taking any wicket. Four leg byes past the keeper is how the Balochistan reaches the victory line. Presentations will pop-up shortly. Stay tuned..
31.2 A Iqbal to A Bangalzai
4lb There it is. Balochistan wins the National Cup 2022 and for the first time, they have won any domestic competition. A historic moment for Balochistan as they beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comprehensively by eight wickets to lift the title.
