That's all from our coverage of the twelfth match from the ICC Women's World cup 2022. Stay tuned for more coverage from across the globe. Ninaad Dixit here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya Krishna and scorer Ashok Daima. Stay safe and take care.
Bangladesh Women Captain, Nigar Sultana: "I think I can't describe the win. The feelings also can't describe. This a historic moment. I thought the spinners will dominate here. We know Pakistan really well. We beat them in the qualifier as well. The girls have put in the hard work. A win gives you a lot of confidence. We are improving and we know we are a capable team. We have done it at the last time we met them in the qualifiers."

Pakistan Women Captain, Bismah Maroof: "Definitely it's hard to digest. We were in the game. We played couple of bad shots which costed us. Definitely Sidra played well but the bad shots from other batters costed us. Yeah, but we should have chased it. Bad shots costed us and we will comeback stronger after seeing what went wrong in the analysis."
Player of the Match, Fahima Khatun: "First I like to thanks to mighty Allah. I am always ready to play for the team. I was not nervous. I bowled to my field. I am happy to perform. It was very good and sportive wicket. If you bowl on right areas you will succeed. It was against Pakistan and I love to play against them. It was a good contest. All thanks to almighty Allah. Thanks."
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first in a surprise decision as it was the third time this pitch was used and four tons were already been scored on this pitch. Things didn't turn their way until the final six overs when they picked up four quick wickets and restricted Bangladesh to 234-7 on the back of a brilliant half century from Fargana Haque.

Nashra Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-41 whereas Omaima Sohail, Nida Dar and Fatima Sana chipped in with a wicket each.

Pakistan started their chase brilliantly and the openers added 91 runs for the first wicket. Nahida Khan scored a brilliant 43 and Sidra Ameen became the first Pakistan player to score a century in Women's World cup with a terrific knock of 104 off 140 deliveries.

Pakistan were in a strong position with 182-2 but lost quick wickets at regular intervals and ended up with 225-9 in the 50 overs! Fahima Khatun was the pick of the bowlers with brilliant figures of 3-38 in eight overs playing in her first ever World cup match. She was well supported by Rumana Ahmed (2-29), Salma Khatun (1-29) and Jahanara Alam (1-20) who chipped in with a timely dismissal of skipper Bismah Maroof.

Pakistan needed 12 off the final 2 deliveries but failed to make it as they lacked the firepower and were under pressure in the middle phase as the Bangladesh bowlers bowled lots of dot balls to propel the required rate to go beyond a run a ball and over 7 at one occasion.

Bangladesh have got their first points on the table and Pakistan are almost out of the reckoning for the knock out stages with four losses in four games.
